Hello, dear Steemians!
All we ever truly want is a purpose; a reason to exist. Humans search far and wide for this reason all their lives. Sometimes, they find their purpose. Other times, they fail and forsake the journey.
But our lifetime is limited. We are born. We live. We die. Our journey is one of victory and failure, happiness and heartbreak, love and hatred, courage and fear, hope and despair, and light and darkness.
The fact that life has a counter and eventually reaches its end is an indication that we are blessed with the beauty of being mortal, because that way, everything is much more beautiful.
Life is beautiful, because in truth, it is fleeting. We may not understand that in different stages of our life.
We may understand the concept, but lose hold of it over time. We may understand the concept, but be too disturbed by the truth and try to forget it as best as we can, hence finding shelter in the destructive and disruptive gratifying pleasures of everyday life.
Nonetheless, life is fleeting and our time is limited. Do you fear this truth? If you are afraid of having to die one day, as eventually all will do, then you are wrong about your grasp of life.
Consider your moments. And I mean, truly consider them for a second. Consider the immediate moments that are passing right now.
Take a look at the space that is surrounding you. Think of all the patterns that align so perfectly with one another.
Are you with someone?
Perhaps, a loved one?
Think about them. Think about how happy you are that you have had the chance to be with them even for a single moment of your lifetime.
Think about the fact that your time with them is limited. Try to cherish every moment by thinking that it is your last.
By thinking in this manner, the next time you see your loved one, you will not hesitate to hug them, or kiss them, or tell them how much you really love them.
You will make sure to use every moment to create happy and beautiful memories, because you know that this moment will not last forever, and that eventually, it will all fade out to nothingness.
If life was everlasting, we would never really appreciate it. We would never start writing the book that we have always wanted to write.
We would never go on to chase after our dreams, because we’d assume that we have all the time in the world.
But life is fleeting, and our time is limited.
There is great beauty in the idea that we are all mortal. Life is actually beautiful as a result of us not having nearly enough time to do everything that we have dreamt of.
When you think of it that way, you will decide to cherish every moment and enjoy every last breath.
The next time you think about something you want to do, just do it. The next time you are seeing your loved one, do not hesitate to spend quality time with them. Because you may never get the chance again.
Consider the fact that for someone right now, this moment is their last. For someone on this amazing and fantastic world, a moment, a kiss, a goodbye might very well be their last.
Let us think about that, and try to cherish our limited time on the face of this good earth!
