What do you expect from a food delivery service?

If you contact a food delivery company through social networks, what you want is for the food to be as appetizing as the photos and the portions to be as generous, preserving its attributes such as smell, temperature, and texture. Therefore, the challenge for food delivery is to meet the expectations sown in the consumer through the images posted on social networks.

I love Lebanese food. Its taste is unique. I can describe it as a caress to the palate. It is an easy meal to eat, it doesn't need special cutlery and tableware since many of its preparations are eaten with pita bread, so you have the feeling of chopping several things. For this reason, it is an ideal meal for a weekend when you don't want to cook and dirty the kitchen hahaha.

Some time ago, we found through social networks a company that does Lebanese food catering. Their food is so delicious that they are always our first choice. Their portions are generous, and when the food arrives home, it maintains the right temperature and texture.

Some preparations are my favorite. The one that cannot be missed is kibbeh nayeh (raw kibbeh). Its texture and flavor are unique, as it looks like a spreadable pate made with lamb or beef, cooked bulgur-type wheat, and as a dressing for this wonderful preparation it has olive oil and strips of onion and herb leaves that make it my favorite.

Some people don't like to eat raw meat, and sometimes they express themselves about this kind of preparation in an uneducated way. My advice is that if you haven't tried it or don't like it, just saying no thanks is enough. In this way, you show respect to the culture and customs of other localities different from yours.

Another delicious preparation is the Warak enak or Yabrak in the Turkish language (meat snacks in grape leaves). For me, they are a kind of appetizer with a delicious sour taste. Making them is an art and requires a lot of patience. The people who make them must select the best fresh grape leaves, wash them and remove the stalk and proceed to fill them with a mixture of beef or lamb seasoned with garlic, paprika, pepper, and cooked rice. These delicacies are cooked in water with sea salt, placing slices of lemon at the bottom of the pot, then a layer of Yabrak, and so on. It is a very laborious preparation that one eats in the blink of an eye hehehehe. There are also Yabrak are prepared by wrapping their filling in cabbage leaves, but my favorites are the ones made with grape leaves.

For vegetable lovers like me, a good Tabbouleh is a must. It is a refreshingly acidic salad composed of several finely chopped vegetables. It has onion, parsley, herbs, tomato, bulgur-type wheat and is dressed in lemon, salt, pepper, and olive oil. It is a good choice to accompany kebab (cane or chicken skewers) or nabulsi kibbeh (fried, baked), which are very dry preparations due to their cooking method.

I will continue to have "Barake" as a supplier of Lebanese food as their quality is incredible. In other publications, I will share other delicacies that this company prepares.

Thanks for reading. See you in a future post!
