Got moving early to pack for a drive down south. Enough time for coffee with a friend and a shopping stop in Chatswood to buy a Chinese cooked duck. Got to Shoalhaven Heads with time enough for fish and chips lunch and onto the bike to walk Seven Mile Beach NP
Found one native violet for my granddaughter Violette - only saw one
Budding blunt-tipped greenhood where I park the bike - known spot that survived the track work
Hoping to find winter greenhoods - got one - noticeable is the labellum comes to a point - a new find for the season. Clue to ID is the swollen helmet - coastal maroonhood - pterostylis oblonga

Walked a side track to check for a fully open blunt-tipped greenhood. Found one - twisted labellum is key to ID for pterostylis curta
Was great to get out on the bike for an orchid walk. Always good to find a new season orchid - have to crown it a greenhood day
Did cook dinner - pizza - dedicated to the young Welsh cyclist killed when a truck entered the Tour of Portugal track in the wrong place
