Joined the local pickleball club over the weekend. First time playing as a member. Cannot say it was a good experience - one member was not exactly friendly. Was told I had to swear on the bible on a score.
When I did my introductory course I was told the culture is to go with the flow. Not what I experienced.
Was ready to go home after one game. After years of bullying, that is what I do - withdraw - will give the club one month - curb her attitude or refund me. Not what I signed up for.
Was persuaded to stay for a few more games. And someone invited me for coffee after - the way a club should work. Will be making sure when I book a session - see who is booked - going to do the best to avoid her. Everyone says she is a problem - ignore her they suggest. Boot her out is what I say. A new sport cannot afford people like that
Popped into pharmacy on the way home - cold medicine needed
Did cook dinner for a friend visiting - Thai yellow chicken curry
Home chores - dumped a bunch of stuff on the verge for council clean up
