My first pickle ball experience

前三個賽季的獎盃都是同一款設計，但到了第四季，聯盟決定換了新造型。新獎盃兩側多了把手，看起來更像傳統的冠軍獎盃；，頂上還是能放個匹克球，但感覺比之前的小了些。 有些人覺得，如果四座獎盃長得一模一樣，看起來會更整齊、更有收藏價值。不過我反而滿喜歡這座與眾不同的獎盃。

A birthday. My father would have turned 101 today. He made it to 84. Went out to play pickleball. Did have ideas to walk and shop after. Played about 12 times so far and each time trying a few new things.

這是我贏得的第三座匹克球聯盟冠軍獎盃。 除了獎盃之外，冠軍隊伍還獲得一瓶紅酒，以及一張澳幣 50 元的折價券，可以用來報名下一季的聯盟比賽。雖然獎品本身不是特別昂貴，但對於每個禮拜認真打球的人來說，這份成就感遠比獎品更有價值。

前幾天我陪媽媽去看牙醫。沒想到媽媽突然跟牙醫說，我打匹克球從來沒輸過。牙醫聽了之後露出滿臉佩服的表情。我連忙補充：「我碰到真正厲害的人的時候就輸了。」結果牙醫接著說了一句很有意思的話：「也許你就是那個真正厲害的人。」 這句話讓我印象非常深刻。我們常常欣賞別人、稱讚別人，覺得別人很強，但卻很少誇獎自己。很多時候，在別人眼中，我們的地位其實比自己想像中還要高。

因為我加入了匹克球聯盟，同時也是我們隊伍 Picklers 的隊長，所以每個星期的比賽我不能缺席。不只是要自己上場，如果有隊友臨時來不了，我還得負責找人頂替。 也因為這樣，我常常拉著爸爸一起上場。只要有人缺席，我第一個就想到他。而且我們已經一起打了很多次，他在聯盟裡至今還沒輸過，實力真的很強。

新的 pickleball 賽季開始了，而我在聯盟裡的不敗紀錄也還在延續。 想起之前剛開始打這個聯盟的時候，其實條件有點簡陋。場地地上幾乎沒有線，只是擺幾個臨時的標記就直接開打，有時候球到底有沒有壓線，大家也只能互相看一看、猜一猜，帶點信任也帶點運氣。但現在不一樣了，隨著越來越多人投入這項運動，聯盟也慢慢升級，場地終於換成有完整標線的正式球場，每一球的判定都變得清楚，也讓比賽更乾淨純粹。
