What to do on a super hot day - hide - do accounts. Too hot to do anything requiring brain power. My wife suggested we go out for fish and chips. Head to a shopping mall and find the food court
Was busy. Everyone had the same idea - was super busy. We did find a fish and chips place. Was good and price was right. Serving size was right for the two of us. Watched the people going by. Did a few shopping things - prawns for dinner and tomorrow
Did go out walking late - temps were already above this - 42C - the heat coming off the road was way higher
Lots of burned up flowers
Heat pouring in from the west. Walked over the ridge line to the eastern side
Snapped the shot of the Greengate Hotel - no people outside. Not true - a little further out of shot was a young couple. I told them about the shot with no people - they laughed a lot
Pelargonium flower surviving the heat - will need a southerly change tomorrow
No people in the play park - not even hidden around the corner. One tiny cloud is maybe a sign for tomorrow
A few more clouds looking east
Peonie flowers this side are doing OK - shaded from the harsh sun. The ones on the other side of the park are cooked
Got the steps done. 42C and me have had a lot of practice - cycling across Australia offers a lot of days above that. Used to train from midday to get used to it
Dinner idea was pad Thai. Could not find a sauce pack for that - landed up Thai Pad See Ew sauce
It is a sweetish soy sauce normally done with a robust protein like chicken or beef. Fresh prawns and chopped chicken is what we had
Dish is typically made with Chinese broccoli - used broccolini which had been blanched - green part of spring onion adds to the green. Served with rice noodles. Dish worked well - different
