Orgullo de mamá: Mi hija representó al C.E. José Rafael Ortega en el baile de joropo 💃✨ [Esp-Eng]
¡Hola a toda la comunidad de Hive y Liketu. Espero que se encuentren de lo más bien. Hoy paso por aquí con el corazón hinchado de emoción para compartirles un momento muy especial y lleno de tradición que vivimos en familia.
En nuestra ciudad, el baile del joropo es una verdadera tradición que cobra vida en cada evento cultural. Es un arte que lleva el ritmo de nuestros llanos, la fuerza de nuestras raíces y el orgullo de nuestra identidad.
Recientemente, en el colegio de mi niña, el C.E. José Rafael Ortega, se realizó la selección de los estudiantes que representarían a la institución en un importante evento. Gracias a su dedicación, esfuerzo constante e inspiración al bailar, mi niña de 7 años fue una de las seleccionadas, junto a su prima, para dar la cara por su colegio y viajar al municipio Camaguán.
Un día de muchas emociones y tradición 📸
Aquí les comparto algunas de las fotografías que le tomé durante la jornada. En algunas aparece ella sola luciendo hermosa su traje típico, y en otras está acompañada de su primita y sus compañeros de baile.
Debo confesar que estaban sumamente emocionadas —¡y con razón!— ya que era su primera vez bailando frente a un público tan grande. Sin embargo, gracias a Dios y al esfuerzo que le pusieron en cada ensayo, dejaron los nervios de lado y lo dieron absolutamente todo en la pista de baile.
Ver su alegría al mover su falda y la pasión con la que representó a su colegio me demostró que cuando las cosas se hacen con el corazón, los resultados son maravillosos.

Hello to the whole Hive and Liketu community. I hope you’re all doing very well. Today I’m popping in here with my heart full of excitement to share with you a very special moment, steeped in tradition, that we experienced as a family.
In our city, the joropo dance is a true tradition that comes to life at every cultural event. It is an art form that embodies the rhythm of our plains, the strength of our roots and the pride in our identity.
Recently, at my daughter’s school, the C.E. José Rafael Ortega, auditions were held to select the pupils who would represent the school at an important event. Thanks to her dedication, constant effort and the inspiration she brings to her dancing, my 7-year-old daughter was one of those selected, alongside her cousin, to represent her school and travel to the municipality of Camaguán.
A day full of excitement and tradition 📸
Here are some of the photos I took of her during the day. In some, she’s on her own, looking beautiful in her traditional costume, and in others she’s with her little cousin and her dance partners.
I must confess they were incredibly excited — and with good reason! — as it was their first time dancing in front of such a large audience. However, thanks to God and the effort they put into every rehearsal, they put their nerves aside and gave it their absolute all on the dance floor.
Seeing her joy as she twirled her skirt and the passion with which she represented her school showed me that when things are done from the heart, the results are wonderful.
