Tenía tiempo que no preparaba en casa una deliciosa gelatina, así que el día de ayer se me antojó comprar y hacerles a mis hijos para la merienda. Les cuento que tenía tanto tiempo sin hacer gelatina qué hasta se me olvidó cómo hacerla así que me guíe por las instrucciones que trae el envase y fue como pude prepararla.

También quise hacerla porque me trae muchos recuerdos a mi mente de mi niñez, cuando mi madre nos preparaba gelatinas y nos daba para merendar a mi y a mis hermanos. ¡A ella si les quedaban muy ricas y deliciosas! Algo que no pude imitar esta vez.

Les comenté a mis hijos que les iba a hacer gelatina y se pusieron muy contentos, tanto que quieran ayudarme a prepararla.

Quise comprar esta de sabor a mandarina, como les dije tengo tiempo que no compro gelatina y me di cuenta que han sacado al mercado diferentes marcas y sabores. Cuando la compré me sorprendió mucho porque habían una marcas desconocidas y le pregunté a la chica que si estaba segura que eso era gelatina. Ja ja ja, sí me confirmó, de verdad no sabia que habían sacado otras presentaciones.

Lo cierto es que me traje una cajita, no estaba segura si era buena o no, igual la compré para probar qué tal era el sabor y la textura. Dentro de mi tenía una inquietud como que no era buena, será porque uno acostumbrado a la gelatina "Sonrisa" (una marca muy popular en Venezuela) y como ya la conocemos y sabemos que es buena a las otras uno les toma como idea y pensamos que no es buena o tenemos esa inquietud.

Cuando llego el momento en hacerla, me guie como prepararla por el envase.

Tomé la cajita de la gelatina, leí y procedí a hacerla.

Lo primero que hice fue en un envase pequeño agregué 250 ml de agua.

Seguidamente lo llevé al fuego hasta que hirviera el agua.

Una vez listo retire del fuego y le fui agregando la gelatina poco a poco y con un batidor de mano fui revolviendo para que no se fuera a agrumar.

Una ves batido y disuelta la gelatina le agregué una taza de agua fría, utilicé la misma medida.

Ya listo deje reposar unos minutos y luego lo metí al refrigerador.

Mis niños estaban pendiente de la gelatina ya se le estaban saboreando.

Oh, oh pero paso algo, creo que le agregué mucha agua a le gelatina y como era la primera vez que la preparo no estaba segura a pesar que me guíe por las instrucciones pero creo que no funcionó mucho. 🫣😁

Quizás no quedó como yo esperaba o imaginaba, sin embargo, al menos quedó como una gelatina; se tambaleaba para todos lados y se podía comer.

Le serví a los niños y la consiguieron muy rica, a decir verdad a mi no me gustó el sabor, no era tan bueno. O será porque no la preparé como era. 🤣🤭

I haven't prepared a delicious jelly at home for a long time, so yesterday I felt like buying some and making it for my kids for snack. I tell you that I had so long without making jelly that I even forgot how to make it so I was guided by the instructions that comes with the package and that's how I was able to prepare it.

I also wanted to make it because it brings back memories of my childhood, when my mother used to make jellies and give them to me and my siblings as snacks, and they were delicious! Something I could not imitate this time.

I told my kids that I was going to make jelly for them and they were very happy, so much so that they wanted to help me make it.

I wanted to buy this tangerine flavored one, as I told them I haven't bought gelatin for a while and I realized that they have released different brands and flavors. When I bought it I was very surprised because there were some unknown brands and I asked the girl if she was sure that it was gelatin. Ha ha ha ha, yes she confirmed it, I really didn't know that they had brought out other presentations.

The truth is that I brought a small box, I was not sure if it was good or not, I still bought it to try the taste and texture. Inside me I had an uneasy feeling that it was not good, maybe because I was used to the "Sonrisa" jelly (a very popular brand in Venezuela) and since we already know it and we know it is good, we take the others as an idea and we think it is not good or we have that uneasy feeling.

When the time came to make it, I was guided on how to prepare it by the package.

I took the small box of gelatin, read it and proceeded to make it.

The first thing I did was in a small container I added 250 ml of water.

Next I took it to the fire until the water boiled.

Once ready, I removed it from the heat and added the gelatin little by little, stirring with a whisk to prevent the gelatin from turning sour.

Once the gelatin was beaten and dissolved I added a cup of cold water, I used the same measure.

I let it sit for a few minutes and then put it in the refrigerator.

My kids were looking forward to the jelly and they were already tasting it.

Oh, oh but something happened, I think I added too much water to the gelatin and since it was my first time preparing it I wasn't sure even though I went by the instructions but I guess it didn't work very well. 🫣😁

Maybe it didn't turn out as I expected or imagined, however, at least it turned out like a jelly; it wobbled all over the place and you could eat it.

I served it to the kids and they got it very rich, to tell you the truth I didn't like the taste, it wasn't that good. Or will it be because I didn't prepare it as it was. 🤣🤭
