Something been bugging me lately and because of this I have no inspiration to write all my projects are on hold because of this.
I think it's time to write about it so I can let this rest before it effects me further. Around october we had a new manager in the restaurant it was the loudest manager we ever got and bloody annoying too keeps bragging about how great he is and all it's just that typical old man where he thinks he's the king of the world.
It's funny to me you're 50 year old dude and still working for other people and you think yourself as a king? that's weird you should own multiple business and be a consultant at least not be a slave like the rest of us. Anyway that is not what was bugging me usually people like this are full of sh1t the ones who talk non stop but no action.
But I had a huge fight with this dumbazz because he cancelled everyones over time and he's planning to take our tips too. YES you heard that right he is STEALING our tips because he said our service is the worse. So I did my own research I check every single restaurant everyday I go to one restaurant nearby our area and surprise surprise our service is the best among them all even our google review is top notch of course we did some mistakes some we fix some we lost but overall we are the best restaurant in that area.
I started telling him don't take my tips its our money you have no right you know his answer to me? he said "do you know what tips is?" i said yea customers give tips for good service he said "exactly your service is shit" I said really? we are the best in the area and this is occording to you not the customers.
A lot of other bullshit he talk about that pisses me off I see everyone was demotivated and abused verbally on a daily basis it was so annoying this guy doesn't help doesn't do anything except complain and stress the floor staff out. He doesn't do it to me because he knows im the only person who can handle everything Bar, floor, cashier and most of the paperwork I understand due to my experience as a manager is so many shops before.
He doesn't disturb me except trying to convince the management to get rid of the tips from the staff and guess what he succeeded before he got fired due to being so useless at the shop the owner got fed up with this guy and just fire him few months later so i thought everything goes back to normal but i was wrong we haven't received our tips since January 2023 until April 2023 the whole 4 months no tips even after I left the company still no tips being given first time in my life tips that was given by the customers are STOLEN by the company how disgusting is that?
When I calculate it there is few thousand there for tips but after you divide among the staff you get about few hundreds I know its not much but I don't know why its bugging me maybe its bugging me because restaurant work has been very abusive and ridiculous lately.
Stupid people are on top while the hard workers are being squeezed the most everyone said why you work so hard do less i mean i wish i could do less but im not that type of guy when i see something wrong just let it be someone else will fix it.
Before i sign my settlement i ask the head finance and the other annoying finance guy he said he will ask the manager to do the calculation on my tips. few weeks later when i ask he got pissed off and said i already sign the settlement so im not eligible for tips so i told him that he told me he will give me so im here to ask for my money i am eligible because i work from january to april i was still there and i am entitled.
I screeshot everything and sent it to the owner guess what the owner said about this just bluetick on me i was thinking hmm i guess being a ladyboss doesn't make you better just another thief pretending to be nice how crazy the world turn into you see the problem now they know even if i reported them nothing will happen i need to sue and use lawyers and all and all business man knows that average hard working person will never be able to pay for that because our salary is shit to begin with so not matter what we lose even if we have the money to fight in court our money will run out first before them.
So the system that are in place is only for the rich the poor like us well good luck and just forget about it. I even ask few people for advice most people said just forget about it we won't win but i have one friend said that you can complain in this search for job app letting them know your tips are stolen the company reputation will drop but i need proof he said. I told him ive been collecting proof ever since so i have more than enough so now i got the bullet but is it worth it?
Is it worth it all this work sent a complain when you know its a losing battle? whats the point? i know im not getting my money back so here i am mind disturbed because people like this exist. Im sure all these thief sleep well at night i should know i met quite a few of them they live and act like there is not a care in the world living free and happy on a daily basis eventhough they know damn well they have destroyed so many hard working people out there but to them so what.
well i guess thats the end of my rant today im suddenly sleepy after this rant i guess it work put my mind at ease.
