There are countless posts on Hive advising newbies on how to progress and set goals for themselves, I have also made many posts on this too.
The newbies have probably fed their eyes on different posts on how they need to be consistent on the hive platform by engaging with other hive users, and dropping meaningful comments on others' posts so they can be noticed so they can also engage with them on their blog.
They have been lectured about how blogging daily and never quitting due to low rewards will eventually pay in the end, quitters never win and those who stick to the platform and diligently do their work will be rewarded.
They have probably read all this somewhere so instead of advising them on what to do, I think I Should advise them on what they should not do.
I know many newbies joined the hive platform because a friend told them it is a place where they can earn money for creating content, so many are here for the money but some people realized they can build their future, career, and life here on Hive while some never thought about me, they just keep extracting and dumping all they earned.
I understand some authors rely on their income on Hive to survive but then they also need to know that they can build something for themselves even as they use the earnings from Hive to solve life problems.
The rich will keep getting richer because money invested wisely will always yield more money.
As a newbie, powering down your hive should be the last resort, this is why we have the 50-50 reward payout, you can always use the liquid HBD to solve any financial problem.
It is fun smashing goals, you can start with 50hp to 100hp..... The next goal is to become a minnow which is around 500 plus hp then to 1000 hp and let your target keep getting bigger because the bigger your aim the more dedicated and focused you will be. Nothing motivates you more than knowing others can benefit from your hive power through curations and you would also be rewarded for curating others, it is a win-win.
Do not rely on whales, orcas, and dolphins to vote for you, try to be one yourself and vote for others.
Minnows are people with above 500 hive power but less than 5000 hp.
Dolphins are the ones with above 5000 hp but less than 50k hp.
Orcas are those with 50,000 hp while the whales are the ones with 500k hp above.
There may be a slight difference to this now probably a little more hp to get the hive buzz badge.
I am sharing this so you can be motivated and know where you are going, as for me, my next target is becoming an orca and I will definitely get there.
