If someone had told us years ago that the world would change this rapidly, many of us wouldn’t have believed it. We moved from cash to cashless transactions, from an offline world to a digital one. The digital age quietly crept in and took over within just a few years.
Now AI is here, and it has seemingly made life easier. Many people have benefited from it. Yes, some have lost their jobs because of its arrival, but it is also hard to say they haven’t benefited from AI in one way or another.
I expect even more changes in the coming years. Things we never imagined possible will become reality, and eventually, we will embrace them.
Today, we don’t always need specialized skills to create amazing things. Not everything, of course, but AI has made a lot of it possible.
A good example is a picture I created yesterday. I don’t have editing or graphic design skills. I simply told ChatGPT what I wanted it to do with my picture, and it created something spectacular. There are people I could have paid to do the same job, and the cost might not have been friendly to my pocket. Yet here is ChatGPT, doing it for me at no cost, without me having any photography or editing skills.
I had been seeing this style of image trending online. I came across a post that explained how to create one using AI prompts. Instead of copying the exact prompt, I wrote my own description, and the result was even better than I expected.
What made it even more interesting was the conversation itself. The AI didn’t just generate the image; it also suggested improvements that made it look even more beautiful.
We have to learn to embrace these changes, and the sooner, the better, because AI is here to stay. It has gone far beyond the stage where it could simply be stopped.
People are already making a lot of money in the AI industry. I recently came across platforms like Outlier and AI training jobs that pay people in dollars. I don’t know enough about them yet, but just knowing opportunities like these exist motivates me to learn more about AI and explore what it has to offer.
It doesn’t stop there. Movies can now be created with AI. I have seen some examples on TikTok, and the visuals, effects, and action sequences are incredibly impressive. In some cases, they can rival what we see in traditionally produced films.
So, should we reject this easier way of doing things and go back to the days when only a few people had the skills to create such memories? Back to when we had to depend entirely on others just to bring our ideas to life?
I don’t think AI is killing creativity. I think it is making creativity more accessible. Instead of spending hours doing what you already know how to do, AI can help you achieve it in minutes.
The world is changing, whether we like it or not. We can either resist the change or learn, adapt, and grow with it. Those who learn how to use AI as a tool, rather than fear it, will likely have an advantage in the years ahead.
AI is not here to replace our imagination. It is here to amplify it. And to me, that is the real beauty of it.
