The older we get, the more lessons we learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others. Learning never ends as long as we are still alive.
There are so many things that have happened in the past that I know I could have handled in a different way if it were to happen now.
One of the life lessons I learnt is never to be heartbroken or live in depression for someone who does not even remember that you exist.
My first girl cheated on me, and that led to our breakup, but I could not forget her. I spent a few years thinking about her. I was finally able to move on, and someday, I came across her on social media. She was living her life, and I doubt she even remembered me. I was the one living in the memories of what we shared.
This is something that many people go through in life, thinking about and loving people who no longer care about them. If I were to handle it now, once a loved one is gone, I would start loving again. I am not going to spend years heartbroken and reminiscing about what is already ruined.
Another life lesson is to be careful about who I share my problems with, because not everyone genuinely cares about what I am going through. Some people do not care, while a few are even happy that you are in such a problem.
If I am going to share my problems, it would be with one or two friends that I know want the best for me. Two friends can fill the void that 50 fake friends cannot fill. Be careful who you trust with your problems, because not everyone who listens to you wants to help you. Some cannot solve your problems, but they can mock you, judge you, or spread your problems to others.
