These days it feels like Artificial Intelligence can do anything, whether you want to write something? You need a logo? AI can design one, you want music, videos, coding, ideas or even a speech? AI is already there waiting to help, sometimes I just sit back wonder how fast the world has changed.
So I will not lie Artificial Intelligence has made life easier in many ways, there are tasks that used to take hours that can now be done in minutes, for students, workers, business owners and even content creators Artificial Intelligence has become a tool that saves time and improves productivity, I do not think that is a bad thing at all
, Technology is supposed to make life easier and in that aspect AI is doing what it was created to do.
Then every good thing usually has another side to it, One thing that worries me is that many people are becoming too dependent on Artificial Intelligence, Instead of thinking through a problem themselves the first thing they do is ask AI, instead of trying to write, create or even brainstorm they leave everything for Artificial Intelligence to handle, that to me is where the problem starts, I believe creativity is like a muscle
If you stop using your own creativity because Artificial Intelligence is doing everything for you your own creativity gradually becomes weaker.
Take writing for example.
Sometimes you struggle with a topic for an hour before the right idea finally comes, that process can be frustrating, but it's also how you grow, If AI does all the thinking for you every single time, you may finish the work faster, but are you really improving yourself? I ask myself that question a lot, the same thing applies to problem solving. Before now, people would sit down, think deeply, make mistakes, learn from them, and eventually figure things out, those experiences helped people become better thinkers.
Now, it feels like many people want instant answers, and because of that, we might slowly be losing the habit of thinking independently, that does not mean AI is bad.
Far from it, personally, I use AI too, but I believe it should be used as a tool, not as a replacement for our brains, there's a difference between getting help and completely handing over your thinking to technology, for me, AI works best when it helps you improve what you've already created.
Maybe it helps you organize your thoughts better
Maybe it helps you spot mistakes
Maybe it gives you fresh ideas when you are stuck, I think that's a healthy way to use it.
If Artificial Intelligence is doing everything from beginning to end while you contribute almost nothing then I think we have crossed a line, As a society I believe we need to be careful, convenience is nice, too much convenience can make people lazy without them even realizing it, if every difficult task disappears because Artificial Intelligence handles it future generations may never develop some of the skills we worked hard to learn.
At the end of the day I do not think Artificial Intelligence is the enemy, yhe real issue is how we choose to use Artificial Intelligence, If we see Artificial Intelligence as an assistant it can make us more productive without taking away our creativity,
If we allow Artificial Intelligence to replace our ability to think, imagine and create then yes I believe our creativity as a species could slowly begin to fade, So for me the goal should be balance, Let Artificial Intelligence help us but do not let it become our brain, because no matter how smart technology becomes there is still something, about genuine human creativity that no machine should completely replace.
