Happy Sunday, Splinterlands friends and Hivers! October has arrived with significant changes to the game, including the implementation of a new bracket system—each with its own specific SPS pool—where we advance through divisions while the requirements remain fixed. I’ve decided to focus on the Silver Modern bracket; the minimum requirements are listed below. These requirements came as a surprise to me, as I have some Level 1 common cards that perform very well, while others—like the exclusive voucher-purchased card—will now need to be upgraded to Level 2. I’ve managed quite well without those cards, but I want to have them available, so I’ve decided to buy a few to ensure I’m well-prepared for this new game format.

Octubre ha llegado con cambios importantes en el juego, entre ellos esta la implementación del nuevo sistema de brackets cada uno de los cuales tiene un pool de Sps particular y donde avanzaremos en un sistema de divisiones pero donde los requisitos se mantendrán fijas. En mi caso he decidido enfocarme en el bracket de silver modern, los requisitos mínimos los podemos ver abajo. Estos requisitos fueron una sorpresa para mi ya que tengo algunas cartas comunes en nivel 1 que hacen muy bien su trabajo, y otras que había comprado como la carta exclusiva de vouchers y que ahora tendré que llevar a nivel 2. Me he podido defender bastante bien sin esas cartas pero quiero poder contar con ellas, así que he decidido comprar algunas de ellas para estar bien preparado en este nuevo formato de juego.

The "Boring Hobgoblin" was a neutral card that had been on my priority list. I’ve struggled with the Life Splinter and the "Archon" (Captain Frankie) against magic units; no matter which tank we use, we end up getting melted if the opponent uses magic units. With this unit, however, we can reduce magic damage by 1, thereby mitigating the impact of those attacks and making my "super melee" strategy more effective.

Boring Hobgoblin fue una carta neutra que estaba pendiente entre mis prioridades, he tenido el problema con la clase vida y el arconte Captain Frankie sobre las unidades mágicas, no importa el tanque que usemos, terminamos fundidos si el oponente usa unidades mágicas. The next card was the Blue Wyrm Travesty at Level 4. To be honest, I suffered many defeats against this unit—even at Level 3—largely due to its ability to reduce the enemy lineup's speed by 1. Since we’re in Silver, having it at Level 4 is sufficient to use it, and getting it in Gold Foil allows me to take advantage of the victory bonus; I can always upgrade it to Level 5 later if a good offer comes along. For now, we are more than satisfied to add this strategic card to our deck.

La siguiente carta fue Blue Wyrm Travesty en nivel 4, la verdad que sufrí muchas derrotas enfrentando esta unidad incluso en el nivel 3, la diferencia la hacía esa habilidad de -1 a la velocidad de la alineación enemiga. Como estamos en plata es suficiente tenerla en nivel 4 para poder usarla y en lámina dorada para aprovechar la bonificación por victoria, ya la podremos llevar a nivel 5 cuando aparezca una oferta de estas cartas. Por ahora estamos más satisfechos de sumar esta estratégica carta en nuestro mazo.

However, there are still matters we need to address as soon as possible if we want a solid deck to advance through the Silver bracket. One of these is the Doomshield Warden, a key tank for high-mana-cap battles. I haven't been able to use it yet, and the Gold Foil (GF) version is quite expensive, so we will have to settle for the regular version.

Ahora si quedan pendientes que debemos atender lo más pronto posible si queremos tener un mazo sólido para avanzar en el bracket de plata. Una de ellas es Doomshield Warden, un tanque clave en esas batallas de amplio límite de mana. Hasta ahora no puedo utilizarla y es bastante costosa en su versión GF, así que tendremos que conformarnos con su versión regular.

The card I really regret not being able to use is Ruckus Rootpaw. I was eager to use it alongside units with the "Weapons Training" ability, but I need to level it up to at least Level 2. That requires four additional copies, and they are currently priced at $0.417 each. I considered buying vouchers on Hive Engine, but that works out to be much more expensive; instead, I’ll have to buy these cards gradually throughout the week so I have them ready by next weekend.

La carta que si me dolió no poder usar, es Ruckus Rootpaw. Tenía muchas ganas de usarla con mis unidades con la habilidad weapons training, pero tendré que llevarla al menos a nivel 2, por lo que necesitaría 4 copias extra de esta carta y están a un precio de 0,417$. Then there are the rewards we’ve accumulated from participating in various Splinterlands tournaments. During the past week, it was nearly impossible for me to keep track of the tournaments or find enough time to play my matches, so I only earned rewards from three of these events.

I really need to get back into tournaments, especially now that I have two new Archons in my deck that will help me improve my performance. In short, we secured 212 liquid SPS, bringing our total accumulated balance to 4,314 SPS. It’s a bit frustrating because the total could have been much higher—I’ve tested these new Archons in Brawls and they are incredibly effective—but we’ll have new opportunities this week to improve our standing and generate earnings.

Necesito obligatoriamente volver a los torneos, sobre todo ahora que ya tengo 2 arcontes nuevos en mi mazo que me van ayudar a mejorar en estos torneos. Now, let's look at the rewards from Lux's prize wheel; unlike last week, the results this time have been mixed. We accumulated a huge number of Sparks early in the week and yesterday, but on Wednesday and Thursday, we only managed to gather enough energy to keep playing Frontier. I’m happy with this outcome, as I’ve been actively playing Frontiers this week, farming chests and tokens for the special foil card giveaway. This energy ensures I can successfully complete the daily missions and collect the 12 giveaway tokens.

Veamos ahora las recompensas de la ruleta de premios de Lux, esta semana los resultados a diferencia de la pasada, han sido mixtos. Los primeros días de la semana y el día de ayer acumulamos una enorme cantidad de Sparks, pero en los días miercoles y jueves, solo hemos conseguido energía para seguir jugando Frontier. Me ha parecido bien este resultado, ya que estoy activo esta semana jugando Frontiers, farmeando los cofres y fichas para el sorteo de cartas de lámina especial. Con esta energía me aseguro de completar exitosamente las misiones diarias y sumar las 12 fichas de sorteo.

With a 139-spin streak, we’ve now accumulated a total of 65,187 Sparks! Honestly, I thought we’d have a chance to get Halloween-themed cosmetics, but we only got the exclusive cards and the new bracket system. I suppose those Halloween cosmetics will arrive in the second season of October.

Opening packs from daily rewards brought several surprises—particularly today's haul, which included two powerful Legendaries. Those weren't the only ones; I pulled another earlier in the week, and we also got several Archons. I'm now thinking about swapping some of these cards for gold-foil versions—essentially selling them to acquire gold-foil cards and boost my ranked rewards.

La apertura de packs por las recompensas diarias, nos trajeron varias sorpresas, particularmente el del día de hoy con 2 poderosas legendarias. No fueron las únicas, conseguí una más a comienzos de la semana y también conseguimos varios arcontes. Lo que estoy pensando es ya en ir sustituyendo varias de estas cartas por otras que sean de lámina dorada, es decir, venderlas para conseguir cartas de lámina dorada y mejorar mis recompensas en el ranked.

A good place to start would be selling off the extra copies of the Legendary cards I’ve accumulated and buying gold-foil variants instead. I wouldn't need to convert all of them—since I only use a few in the Modern format—but having gold-foil versions offers a bonus I really need to capitalize on. And if I’m lucky enough to snag a Black Foil card in the weekly giveaways, even better!

I’ll wrap up this report with the Brawls. Even though we’re less than a day away from the next guild tournament, I performed quite well in this latest skirmish—and I even used one of my new Archons! We improved our standing by the end of the event, solidifying our hold on second place, and added our first 147 SPS to our staked holdings (since we’re currently earning reward points in the Modern format).

Finalizamos este reporte con las Brawls que aunque ya estamos a menos de 1 día del próximo torneo de gremios, en esta última refriega me fue bastante bien y usando uno de mis arcontes nuevos!. Esta vez aumentamos nuestra posición al final de la jornada, consolidándonos en el segundo puesto y añadimos nuestros primeros 147 SPS al stake ya que en modern por ahora estamos recibiendo reward points.

Aside from the Epic card we pulled—which I actually would have preferred to be a Common or Rare—the rest was exactly what we expected. There isn't much to debate here, friends; I’m only two Common cards away from reaching Level 8, though I’m still a long way off from the required 220 copies. So, for now, all that’s left is to keep dueling, accumulating Merits, and opening Gladius Cases until we hit Level 8. Then, we can move on to the next stage: opening packs with Blood Stones and Power to start collecting Gold Foils and eventually participate in Gold-Foil-only skirmishes.

Alright friends, that wraps up my report on the frontiers and my upcoming tasks for building a complete deck in the Modern Silver bracket. As I mentioned earlier, I’m focused solely on improving Conclave Arcana; the infamous Rebellion—and its legacy—are now things of the past.
