Greetings, Splinterlands community and Hivers! Welcome to another shopping trip in the Splinterlands card market. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, we’ve reached the point where it’s time to move to the next phase: transitioning beyond playing solely with "Rewards/Foundations" cards and beginning to invest in "Core/Escalation" cards from the Conclave Arcana set. This will help me climb the ranks in my chosen bracket—in my case, Bracket III. My budget is quite modest, so my investments are limited but carefully considered, based on observing hundreds of battles—not just my own, but those of top-tier players as well! I started acquiring my first Archons and units at the beginning of June, and I’m currently in Division 2 of Bracket III. While this yields only a small amount of SPS at the end of the season, it generates a massive number of Glints—perfect for completing my collection of Conclave Arcana rewards cards.

Bienvenidos a esta nueva ida de compras en el mercado de cartas de Splinterlands, como ya les había compartido en publicaciones anteriores, estamos ya en el punto donde debemos movernos a la siguiente fase: pasar de solo jugar con las cartas rewards/Foundations y comenzar a invertir en las cartas Core/Escalation de Conclave Arcana para abrirnos paso en el bracket que escojamos, en mi caso sería el bracket III. Mi presupuesto es bastante modesto, así que mis inversiones son limitadas pero muy bien pensadas después de ver cientos de batallas, no solo propias, sino también la de los jugadores que están en el top! Así comencé a comprar mis primeros arcontes y unidades a comienzos del mes de junio y actualmente ya estoy en la división 2 del bracket III, que aunque me esta generando pocos Sps al final de temporada, si que me esta generando una enorme cantidad de Glints, ideales para completar mi colección de cartas rewards Conclave Arcana.

In this vein, last week I shared an update covering the addition of my 8th legendary Archon—Grimdave the Unbent, from the Escalation set—along with a key strategic card for the Earth class: Silverleaf Mage. These two additions significantly improved my standing in Modern Ranked, allowing me to reach Division II. However, I noted in that report that I still needed more cards to fully flesh out my strategies and tactical options in battle. Well, in this report, I’ll share the cards I’ve purchased to further strengthen my Conclave Arcana deck. Let’s get started! Updating exclusive cards for Bracket III.

En este contexto, la semana pasada les compartí mi última actualización donde sumábamos nuestro 8vo arconte legendario: Grimdave the Unbent, del set Escalation y también una carta de carácter estratégico cuando se trata de jugar con la clase de tierra: Silverleaf Mage. Con la suma de estas 2 cartas mejoré sustancialmente mi posición en el ranked moderno, lo que me permitió llegar a la división II, pero cerraba ese reporte señalando que todavía me faltaban cartas para completar y mejorar mis estrategias y opciones en batalla. Bueno, en este reporte les compartiré cuales fueron aquellas cartas que compré para seguir robusteciendo mi mazo de Conclave Arcana. Comencemos!

One thing I noticed while purchasing skins was that I couldn't subsequently find the corresponding cards in Bracket III—specifically the promotional cards. I then realized that most of my exclusive cards—the ones purchased using vouchers—fall into this category. I want to reiterate: whenever one of these exclusive cards is announced, you should treat it as a serious asset if you’re looking to improve your Modern-format deck. They are effective even at Level 1, but for Bracket III, I needed them at Level 2 to use them in ranked play. I decided to invest in them for two reasons: first, many possess strategic abilities; and second, because they are promotional cards, winning with them grants a substantial bonus in both Reward Points and Glints.

Una de las cosas que noté cuando estaba comprando las skins, es que después no encontraba las cartas en el bracket III particularmente en las cartas promocionales y entonces me di cuenta que la mayoría de mis cartas exclusivas, las que se compran con vouchers. Sobre estas cartas, voy a volver a repetirlo, cada vez que una de estas cartas exclusivas es anunciadas, son activos que debes tomarte muy muy en serio si quieres mejorar tu mazo en moderno. Incluso en nivel 1 hacen su trabajo, pero el detalle está que en bracket III necesitaba tener estas cartas en nivel 2 para poder usarlas en el ranked, así que decidí invertir en ellas por 2 razones: primero muchas de ellas tienen habilidades estratégicas y segundo son promocionales, así que ganar con estas cartas nos confiere una sustancial bonificación en reward points y glints.

I started by acquiring the missing copies of Mana Warden—an excellent card that grants the "Shield" ability to the unit positioned directly in front of it, which is highly effective for bolstering your frontline tank. Next was Krowl Brightbane; this Canisan-lineage card has performed very well for me alongside the Archon Loving the Moo, making this dual-element card a necessary addition to my Modern deck.

Comenzamos comprando las copias faltantes de Mana Warden, una excelente carta que confiere la habilidad shield a la unidad que tiene al frente de su alineación, muy útil para reforzar las capacidades de tu tanque de vanguardia. La segunda fue Krowl Brightbane, esta carta de linaje canisan me ha dado muy buenos resultados con el arconte Loving the Moo así que es necesaria esta carta bielemental en mi mazo moderno.

The final common exclusive cards I was missing included Grayhammer Painsmith—which gains the "Painforge" ability at Level 2—a card I plan to use in battles alongside the unit "Calamity" to boost its base damage. Lastly, there’s Ruckus Rootpaw; I haven't had a chance to field this unit yet, but I intend to pair it with units that have the "Weapons Training" ability—specifically alongside the card "Doldrus"—to create an offensive synergy featuring two promotional cards in my lineup. I’m quite satisfied with this; I’ve added four common cards to my Bracket III deck while also taking advantage of the bonus provided by these promotional cards.

Las últimas cartas exclusivas comunes que me faltaban fueron Grayhammer Painsmith, que en nivel 2 tiene la habilidad painforge y que pienso utilizar en batallas con la unidad Calamity para potenciar su daño base. Y finalmente Ruckus Rootpaw hasta ahora no he conseguido una oportunidad para utilizar esta unidad, por ahora quiero usarla con unidades que tengan la habilidad weapons training para hacerla ofensiva junto a la carta Doldrus y así tener una combinación de 2 cartas promocionales en la alineación. Ya con esto estoy bastante tranquilo, sumo 4 cartas comunes mi mazo en el bracket III y aprovecho la bonificación por ser cartas promocionales.

Next, I moved on to two neutral cards that I believe will become more significant once we only have the Conclave Arcana edition and the upcoming set of new cards. The first is Halfshell Seer, which possesses the "Reckless" ability; I want to ensure I have enough units with this trait to trigger cards that rely on the "Painforge" ability, such as Grayhammer Painsmith or Portia Nyr. The second is Grimward Ruinshot, which I’m interested in for its "Dispel" ability—useful for stripping away enemy buffs and dealing with opponents more quickly.

Luego pasé a 2 cartas neutras que considero tendrán una mayor importancia cuando solo tengamos la edición Conclave Arcana y el próximo set de cartas nuevas. Se trata de Halfshell Seer una carta que tiene la habilidad Reckless que me interesa tener suficientes unidades de este tipo para activar aquellas cartas con la habilidad Painforge como Grayhammer Painsmith o Portia Nyr. La segunda fue Grimward Ruinshot que me interesa por su habilidad Dispel para eliminar los buff del enemigo y así lidiar más rápido con ellos.

For now, I plan to upgrade these cards to level 3, as they perform quite effectively at that stage. Later on, I will acquire enough additional copies to bring them up to level 4.

Por ahora, voy a upgradear estas cartas a nivel 3 ya que hacen bastante bien su trabajo en ese nivel, más adelante compraré las copias suficientes para llevarlas a nivel 4 más adelante.

Next, we have the Earth class—this is where we invested the most, as the legendary Archon of this class requires common and epic units that I still needed to level up. Let’s start with the epic cards: Folen Flameye was the tank I desperately needed; for it to be truly effective in higher leagues, the card had to be at level 3, so I purchased the remaining copies required to reach that level. Then, there’s the Sylvaran Sentinel; this ranged unit boasts excellent speed and significant damage. For lineups featuring magic and ranged units, this card is a great addition, helping to diversify the types of damage your team can deal.

Luego tenemos a la clase tierra, aquí fue donde más invertimos, pues el arconte legendario de esta clase requiere de unidades comunes, y épicas que todavía necesitaba subir de nivel. Empecemos por las épicas, Folen Flameye era ese tanque que tanto estaba necesitando, para que realmente me sirviera en ligas altas, esta carta debía estar en nivel 3, así que compre las copias faltantes para el nivel 3. Luego seguimos con la carta Sylvaran Sentinel, esta unidad de rango largo tiene muy buena velocidad y un daño importante, para alineaciones de unidades mágicas y rango, esta carta es un buen complemento para diversificar el tipo de daño que hace tu alineación.

At level 1, Folen Flameye possesses the "Flank" ability, which allows a melee unit placed in the second position to gain the "Reach" ability. Upon reaching level 3, it gains "Thorns" and an additional +1 defense, making it a resilient choice for the front line. As for the Sylvaran Sentinel, at level 3 it gains the ability to reduce the opponent's speed—a key trait that has cost me many battles whenever I’ve faced lineups containing this card.

The final Earth card we upgraded was the Earthwork Sentinel. Like other cards with no base attack, it can be turned into an offensive threat when paired with units that have the "Weapons Training" ability. Furthermore, this card possesses the ability to reduce opponents' speed, providing a significant advantage in battle.

Nuestra última carta de tierra en upgradear fue Earthwork Sentinel, otra carta sin ataque que nos servirá para hacerla ofensiva con cartas con la habilidad weapons training, solo que en esta carta tiene además la habilidad de reducir la velocidad de los oponentes, confiriendo una gran ventaja contra tu oponente.

I wanted to bring Umbral Elemental to level 3 because of the major advantage provided by the "Deflection Shroud" ability, which protects adjacent units from "Blast" damage, "Magic Reflection," and even damage from "Thorns." Additionally, this card grants +1 speed to the entire team and acts as a decoy, drawing enemy attacks toward itself. In short, it is a highly versatile unit, perfect for rounding out strategies involving Archons like "Brave the Bull" or the rare Archon, Razi Clanktrap.

Unbral Elemental lo quise llevar a nivel 3 por la gran ventaja que confiere la habilidad Deflection Shroud pues protege a las unidades adyacentes de ataques con blast, magic reflection o incluso del daño de thorns. Además esta carta confiere +1 de velocidad a todo el equipo y por último, actúa como señuelo atrayendo los ataques enemigos. Es decir, es una unidad muy completa para completar tus estrategias con los arcontes: Brave the Bull o el arconte raro Razi Clanktrap.

Alright friends, those were my purchases for this week. I’m still buying cards, so look out for a third installment in this series! To wrap things up, I wanted to show you my attempt to buy the legendary Bellowmancer skin—but to my surprise, they had already sold out! I hadn’t noticed a counter showing how many were left, and now I’m worried I might miss out on the Calamity skin, which is even more expensive—it’s going to take me a while to gather enough DEC for that one. I settled for the Moribund Arrowbait skin instead; it looks like a voodoo doll, and since I use that card a lot alongside the Archon "El Jefe," I wanted to customize it with this somewhat eerie skin. Bien amigos estas fueron mis compras de esta semana, todavía sigo comprando cartas, así que esperen una tercera parte de esta serie. Para cerrar quería compartirles como compraba la skin legendaria de Bellowmancer, pero para mi sorpresa ya se habían agotado! El asunto es que no vi un contador de cuantas unidades quedaban y ahora me preocupa que no alcance a comprar la de Calamity que es todavía más costosa y me va a tomar un tiempo reunir esos Decs. Me conformé comprando la skin de Moribund Arrowbait que parece un muñeco vudú y como lo uso mucho con el arconte El Jefe, quise personalizarlo con esta skin un tanto espeluznante.
