Hello, Splinterlands friends and fellow Hivers! We’re a couple of days into the new season, and we’ve already got a good feel for the bracket system in the Modern and Wild formats. I’ve settled into the Silver bracket; while I’m not earning as much SPS as I’d like, I’m quite satisfied with the rewards in the form of Glints. This will help me complete my collection of reward cards—something I was never able to fully achieve with the Chaos Legion or Rebellion reward sets. That’s why I’m focused on acquiring the legendary Archons from Conclave Arcana as soon as possible. Although I’m currently positioned in Division 3, I’m confident that once I’ve collected all the Archons, I’ll be able to climb even higher.

Que tal amigos de Splinterlands y Hivers! Ya llevamos un par de días de la nueva temporada y ya tenemos una buena impresión del sistema de brackets en los formatos moderno/wild. Yo ya me acostumbre al bracket de plata y aunque no estoy recibiendo los sps que me gustaría, si que estoy bastante satisfecho con los tokens de recompensa en Glints lo que me va ayudar a completar mi colección de cartas rewards, algo que nunca pude hacer al 100% ni en las rewards de Chaos Legion, ni en las de Rebellion. Por eso estoy enfocado en hacerme lo más pronto posible con los arcontes legendarios de Conclave Arcana y aunque actualmente ya estoy posicionado en la división 3 estoy seguro que una vez complete todos los arcontes podré ascender más allá de la actual división donde me encuentro.

In light of this, I wanted to share my latest purchases from the card market—starting with the Water Archon, Grimdave the Unbent, the second addition to my collection of Archons from the Escalation mini-set. I believe this was a wise decision; waiting until next year to pick up these Archons might be too late. My goal is to secure all of these legendary Archons before the next card set is announced.

En este contexto quise compartirles mi más recientes compras en el mercado de cartas, empezando por el arconte de agua Grimdave the Unbent el segundo en mi colección de arcontes del mini set Escalation. Creo que fue la desición más sabia porque esperar al próximo año para tener estos arcontes puede ser demasiado tarde, en mi intención tener todos estos arcontes legendarios antes de que sea anunciado el próximo set de cartas.

I also picked up the two remaining Gold Foil copies of Silverleaf Mage that I needed. This wasn’t just about showing off fancy Gold Foil cards—the regular-foil version was priced at over $25, and there simply aren’t enough copies left on the market! On the other hand, with the gold-foil versions, it ended up costing me half as much to get this card to level 4—and I was also lucky enough to pull enough copies to reach that level. The advantage of having this card at level 4 is that it gains the "Poison Burst" ability; since it can also taunt enemies, it’s an ideal card to use alongside the legendary Archon, Elowen Sylphie.

También compré las 2 copias que me faltaban de Silverleaf Mage en lámina dorada. Esto no lo hice por un interés pretencioso de lucir cartas doradas, es que su equivalente en lámina regular salía en más de 25$ y actualmente ya no hay suficientes copias! En cambio las laminas doradas me salía a mitad de precio tener esta carta en nivel 4 y también que tuve la suficiente suerte para conseguir las copias necesarias para llevarla a nivel 4. La ventaja de tener esta carta lvl 4 es que aprende la habilidad de Poison Burst y al provocar a los enemigos es una carta ideal para usarse con el arconte legendario Elowen Sylphie y así poder envenenar a buena parte de la alineación enemiga.

So, in addition to the 6 core legendary Archons from Conclave Arcana, we now have 2 more from the Escalation miniset. These Archons are quite unique; they all have a mana cost of 3—a rare trait for legendary Archons. Other examples with this mana cost include the "meme" Archon Waka (what a disaster that one was!), the Alpha-set Archon Selena Sky, the Untamed Archon Camila Sungazer, and Prince Julian—who, at one point, was one of the most expensive cards in the game.

We now have the chance to acquire these 3-mana legendary Archons. For the time being, I see them being most useful in low-mana battles, as the abilities they provide are tactical and generally detrimental to the opponent—such as electrifying, burning, or exhausting them. In future posts, we’ll explore the best scenarios for using these new Archons.

Tenemos entonces la oportunidad de hacernos con estos arcontes legendarios con un coste de mana 3, el uso que por ahora les veo es en batallas de bajo mana, ya que las habilidades que confieren son tácticas y en general son perjudiciales como electrificar, quemar o cansar. Let’s take a look at the amount of SPs (Season Points) I’ve farmed in tournaments. I’ve had some really bad luck this week; I mostly participated in "Wild" format tournaments, which I find particularly challenging because my playstyle is currently tuned for Foundations, Rebellion reward cards, and Conclave Arcana. As for the tournaments that offered a "Modern-only" option in the Gold/Diamond leagues—I simply forgot to join and ended up missing out. At least we managed to win something in these tournaments.

Echemos un vistazo ahora a la cantidad de Sps que hemos farmeado en los torneos, esta semana he tenido muy mala suerte, pues he participado en torneos de wild en su mayoría y sufro verdaderamente en estos torneos porque mi cabeza esta ya adaptada a jugar con cartas Foundations/Rebellion reward/Conclave Arcana y aquellos torneos que tenían la opción de jugar exclusivamente moderno en la liga de oro/diamante, terminé por olvidar entrar y quedé fuera. Al menos logramos ganar algo en estos torneos.

Ultimately, we succeeded in reaching one of our immediate goals: accumulating 4,600 liquid SPS. Before I started entering tournaments with my new Conclave Arcana cards, it seemed nearly impossible to reach 50,000 SPS—relying solely on playing in the Modern format with Foundations cards and participating in Brawls every five days. Now, by actively competing in these tournaments, I am confident that we can comfortably surpass that target. This is why my investments are directed exclusively toward Conclave Arcana; I need these cards throughout 2027—both for ranked play and tournaments—to recoup my investment in the form of locked SPS.

Al final logramos alcanzar una de nuestras metas inmediatas que fue llegar a los 4600 SPS líquidos, antes de entrar a los torneos con mis nuevas cartas Conclave Arcana veía casi imposible llegar a los 50K en Sps solamente jugando en moderno con cartas Foundations y cada 5 días participando en las Brawls. Ahora participando activamente en estos torneos estoy seguro que podemos superar ampliamente esta meta. Esta es la razón por la que mis inversiones están dirigidas únicamente a Conclave Arcana, necesito contar con estas cartas para todo el 2027 tanto en el ranked como en torneos para recuperar lo invertido bajo la forma de SPS bloqueados.

This week, we received some rewards from the Arena Vanguard event—specifically, we completed a battle challenge and secured a third copy of Vaelok, as well as a Rodentian card from the Conclave Arcana set for participating in the streams. I’d like to thank @culebro for these initiatives, which motivate us to keep moving forward and growing within Splinterlands.

Esta semana hemos recibido algunos premios del evento de Arena Vanguard, en este caso un desafío de batalla que logramos superar y hacernos con la 3era copia de Vaelok y también de una carta rodentian del set Conclave Arcana por participar en las transmisiones. Así que agradezco al estimado @culebro por estas iniciativas que nos motivan a continuar avanzando y creciendo en Splinterlands.

I also continue to spin the prize wheel every single day without fail—I’m currently on a 153-day streak—so let’s take a look at this week’s results. As has been the case for the last three weeks, I started off with some extra spins that yielded a large number of Sparks tokens; the rest of the days brought more modest amounts, but even though the quantities were small, I’d still rather have those than receive energy.

This brings my total to nearly 70K Sparks. I was surprised to find only one type of skin available for purchase with Sparks, and since the design change isn't all that significant, I didn't feel compelled to buy the "Little Sister" skin. I’ve decided to hold onto my precious Sparks for future offers featuring more striking skins. In short, I was very disappointed with this lone, limited-run cosmetic.

Con esto llegamos a casi 70 K de Sparks, me sorprendió que solo estuviera disponible 1 tipo de Skin comprable con Sparks y la verdad es que no es un cambio tan significativo de diseño, así que no me motivó a comprar esta skin de Little Sister y mantener mis valiosos Sparks para futuras ofertas de otras skins más llamativas. En resumen quedé muy decepcionado con este único cosmético de tirada limitada.

I’ll wrap up this regular report with my usual opening of Foundation packs and Gladius Cases. Starting with the Foundation packs: I only managed to open nine of them. To be honest, most of my attention is currently focused on the new bracket format—trying to increase my rewards by renting out SPS, upgrading my Archons, and developing my Conclave Arcana units. This takes up a huge amount of my time right now, though I still try to set aside a couple of hours to hunt for the cards I’m still missing.

Cerramos nuestro acostumbrado reporte con la acostumbrada apertura de packs Foundations y Gladius Cases. Comencemos por los packs Foundations, solo pude abrir hasta 9 packs porque siendo honestos, casi toda mi atención se la esta llevando el nuevo formato brackets, intentando mejorar la cantidad de recompensas vía Sps alquilados, mejorando mis arcontes y unidades Conclave Arcana, todo eso me toma muchísimo tiempo en este momento, pero al menos intento dedicarle un par de horas para tratar de conseguir las cartas que me faltan.

After many months, I finally secured the last copy I needed of Lenore Nevermore. It’s a card I use almost exclusively in the Frontier format; in fact, I rarely use Foundation cards in the Modern format anymore. That said, I view these cards as a necessary stepping stone in my journey toward building a competitive deck for the Modern format. Having seen the Conclave Arcana cards my opponents were using, I’ve moved on to the next phase: purchasing the Archons and units most frequently seen in ranked play and incorporating them into my own deck. Over time, I’ve built a deck that has allowed me to climb back up the leaderboards. This doesn’t mean that Foundations cards are completely useless; rather, they ultimately serve as a way to introduce new players to what the core game is really about—namely, ranked play.

Después de tantos meses logramos conseguir la última copia que nos faltaba de Lenore Nevermore, es una carta que casi uso exclusivamente en el formato Frontier, de hecho ya casi no uso cartas Foundations en el formato moderno, considero que estas cartas han sido una etapa necesaria en mi crecimiento hacia un mazo competitivo en el formato moderno. Ahora que ya he visto las cartas Conclave Arcana que usaban mis oponentes pasé a la siguiente fase, comprar los arcontes/unidades que más se utilizaban en el ranked y comencé a incorporarlos a mi mazo. Con el tiempo he construido un mazo que me ha permitido retomar las tablas clasificatorias, esto no quiere decir que las cartas Foundations sean completamente inútiles, solo que estas cartas son en ultima instancia una forma de introducir a los nuevos jugadores a lo que verdaderamente es el juego principal, es decir, el ranked.

Finally, I’d like to share the results from the Gladius Cases I opened using the merits earned in this past weekend’s Brawls. I participated in the Silver-tier brawl, where all cards were at Tier 5—quite a challenging experience, to be honest—but we managed to win 4 out of 6 tough battles.

Aside from the epic card Marisol Contuma, the rest were common and rare cards—exactly the kind we need to stock up on. There were no gold-foil cards, but that’s fine; we can focus on those later. Acquiring gold-foil Gladius cards requires the use of "Power Stones," which means spending additional merits to purchase these artifacts and increase the odds of pulling gold-foil versions.

Unfortunately, among the common Gladius cards, I didn’t pull any copies of Hugo Strongsword—I’m still missing 10 copies of that one. I’m also short 5 copies of Chimney Wallstop to reach level 8. Both of these cards see a lot of use in my Brawl matches, as well as in ranked play whenever a ruleset appears that allows them to be summoned onto the battlefield.

Tristemente de entre las gladiadoras comunes no conseguimos ningún Hugo Strongsword, faltando todavía 10 copias y junto a Chimney Wallstop del cual nos faltan 5 copias para el nivel 8 en cada una de estas cartas que uso mucho en las Brawls y en ranked cuando aparece la regla que permite invocar una de estas cartas en el campo de batalla.

As for the Rare cards, I’m still missing Orella Abadon and Cutter Brieze—I didn’t pull a single copy of either. I did get a Relenor Cleaver, though; I’m now just 3 copies away from reaching level 7 with that one. You have to be patient with these cards, as you rarely get the specific one you’re hoping for. The key is to stay consistent in the Brawls and open at least 4 Gladius Cases every week.

De las cartas raras todavía me faltan Orella Abadon y Cutter Brieze del que no pide obtener ninguna copia, solo de Relenor Cleaver que nos deja a 3 copias para alcanzar el nivel 7. Con estas cartas hay que tener paciencia porque cuando caen nunca es la carta que esperas, la solución es mantenerse constante en las Brawls y abrir semanalmente 4 o más Gladius cases.
