#MyHiveGoals - Week #41: Hive/HP and HBD Status - One last push a week before Halloween! [Eng/Esp]
Warm greetings, community! Welcome to my weekly #MyHiiveGoals report, where I document updates on my objectives here on this wonderful blockchain. My activity was quite low this past week—and if you’re wondering why, well, you can see the reason right on the cover of this post! I was wrapping up some laboratory sessions at the university; as an educator, I strive to ensure that—despite all the challenges we’re facing in Venezuela—my classes still run successfully. In this particular session, we were recording the depolarization of a nerve bundle, which we had connected to a specialized voltage chamber. This setup was synchronized with a stimulator—to trigger the nerve discharge—and an oscilloscope—to capture the depolarization—demonstrating how excitable cells use ionic currents to communicate with one another. As you can see, the signal came through quite clearly; I left the lab that week feeling very satisfied!
The thing is, each of these lab sessions requires significant preparation time, which is ultimately what keeps me away from the blockchain—though that certainly doesn’t mean I’m abandoning it! As for the value of our cryptocurrency today, it has dipped slightly, but the overall trend seems likely to hold steady. Regardless of whether the price goes up or down, my goal remains clear: to keep enriching my blog with real-life experiences and to continue connecting with the friends I’ve made across various communities. Just this past weekend, I returned to the "Beer" community—a space I hadn’t contributed to in a while. It wasn’t because I’d lost interest, but simply because I hadn’t been able to find any craft beers worth sharing with the community!

All in all, I can’t complain—the price of Hive is currently hovering above $0.0477, and I actually converted my Hive rewards back when the price was $0.04837! So, we managed to get something out of the week that just ended, but I’m afraid this coming week will be much like the last one—I’ll be completely swamped at the two universities where I’m currently working. Still, as the title of this post suggests, this will be the final week of assessments, and I’ll have much more free time afterward; there’s no other choice but to give it one last push!
Hive/HP
Let’s take a quick look at the Hive/HP situation—a goal we reached quite some time ago. To start, I have a comfortable surplus of liquid Hive; as I’ve mentioned in previous reports, I’ve been purchasing Hive on Binance and transferring it to my wallet to reinvest in two areas: Splinterlands and Power Ups. Regarding Splinterlands, I’ve rediscovered the excitement and the feeling of those earlier days when the game was truly fun. Right now, I’m investing in acquiring all the legendary summoners from the latest set, and I hope to have them all collected before the year ends.
As for the second use for the Hive I’ve been bringing into my wallet: it’s simply to keep up with my daily Power Ups. As you can see, I’m only four days away from completing the October #HPUM—that’s my tenth in a row this year and my 22nd consecutive month since I started on January 1st, 2025. And I have no intention of stopping—well, unless Hive returns to its nominal value of $0.30–$0.70. Do you remember those days? Back in 2022? I look back on them with a great deal of nostalgia. Regardless, if that were to happen, I’d have to carefully rethink how to organize things to keep up with my daily Power Ups.

Where I did fall short was in staying consistent with my microblogging; I managed a few posts early in the week, but on Tuesday, I spent the entire day teaching and ended up so exhausted that I don’t even remember falling asleep. In fact, I was found with my face practically in my dinner plate—they had to take it away and set it aside until I woke up the next day! That’s right, folks—I’m in "crunch mode,"😅 but I need these two jobs if I want to save up a decent amount for the Christmas holidays. You know how it is. The good news is that my current commitments wrap up this Friday—just one day before Halloween—so I really can’t complain! I’ll even pick up a few beers to celebrate, and in the process, I’ll snap a photo to get back into my microblogging routine.
HBD Savings
Now, let’s talk about the goal we’re actively working toward: reaching 2,300 HBD this year. This week, I brought in 6.34 HBD—roughly the same as what I earned the week before last. That’s about what I expected, and with the entire coming week still ahead, I’ll have more time to keep earning. It might not be a huge amount, but I’ll stay active enough to match—or at least come close to—this past week’s total, helping me reach the 2,250 HBD mark for this month.
As for my interest, there are still 9 days left before I can claim it, but it will undoubtedly be close to 20 HBD by the time October ends and we enter the first few days of November. I expect that we will reach November with 2,275 HBD—meaning we will be 25 HBD short of our goal—and, given that I will now have more free time and will therefore be more active on the blockchain, I hope to complete this arduous challenge by the third week of November.
Well, friends, that’s my report for the week. Since this Saturday is October 31st, I’d like to wish you all a Happy Halloween in advance! See you next Monday with another #MyHiveGoals update. Best regards!

Saludos!
