Why make these posts you may ask. Because one day my daughters will ask me: "Dad, how did you manage to train to wake up and run 12km every morning?" I will say: " Go read my old Steemit posts." I am journaling the process of going from zero to goal achieved.
I hope that by doing this I inspire someone to do something similar. Making a goal public also adds a degree of accountability and thus reduces my options to fail and I must say up to this point had been a powerful motivator.
So I have just recovered from having the flu so I took it easy this last week. Here are my achievements:
Running
2KM slow pace ( Not timed )
Swimming
600M freestyle & breaststroke ( 100m & 50m intervals )
In Conclusion
The run felt really good after more than two weeks off almost like I needed the rest. The swim was awesome but I tired really quickly. I was maxed out at 500M. All and all, a good week.
