Hi! My name is Jenny. I am a linguist. I love languages. I have studied Sumerian and Akkadian, the first two written languages (both dead languages). To learn those languages, I studied German and French, so ich sprache ein bissen Deutch und je parle un peau francais. I originally learned Spanish because I wanted to someday go to Spain, but the first country I visited was actually Italian. At some point, my Italian was better than my Spanish, but alas, nobody speaks Italian to me anymore. Because I studied Italian, I then also studied Latin (another dead language). I studied some Japanese. I grew up speaking Chinese and English.
My husband has wanted to be a chef since he was nine years old. We were both born in Los Angeles at the French Hospital. He's three years, two months, and twenty days older than me. We love food. We decided to share our passion for food with the world. One of the most recent passions we have is Hainan Chicken rice. This video was made about six months ago, but the clips are a culmination of about a year and half's worth of collections by seanchangfilms.com
Here's the link to our chicken rice love song. I am new to Steemit, but I hope you'll upvote my post for the love of good food and passionate crafting.

Here's a picture of our Hainan chicken rice serving organic free range chicken, organic egg, and three sauces made in-house. There's a ginger scallion (green), a sesame soy sauce (brown), and the sambal from fresh chilies. Pictured far left are some fried chicken skins. The greens fading into the background are pickled cucumbers and preserved mustard greens. I often tell people to mix the pickles into the rice or to enjoy a scoop of rice then a scoop of pickles as a palate cleanser.
I hope you get to check out my song on Vimeo. I don't know how to embed videos yet, so I will work on figuring that out! 'Til next time, please upvote me. Add steem. Add oil!
