It's been a great couple of days over here. And I say this meaning every word of it. I had to take a trip down to the east, so I've been really busy doing what I came here for. But one of the things that I noticed about this place was the rain. Like, bro, ever since I came here, it's been raining nonstop! Almost every single day. And on days it didn't rain, the days were cloudy and messed up.
The worst thing you could do was wash your clothes, because it would only be by the grace of God that they actually got dried. And even at that, you'd need at least four or five days for them to be properly dried. Or five minutes if you were using the dryer.
Anyway, that's how it's been. And as you know, nothing disrupts a plan worse than rain. Especially when you have to deal with bad roads, which my dear country is already known for. So many times, once I see that it's about to rain, plans have to be readjusted at once, and this makes plans take longer to execute. Very annoying!!!
And then, another major issue brought on by the rain: terrible network! The network gets really sketchy once it starts raining, especially when it's a particularly heavy rain. So, that's what it turns into, can't go out, can't surf the internet, and if you don't have something worthwhile to distract you, or you don't find comfort in your own thoughts, you just might end up listening to the rain on your roofs and making a rhythm out of the beats. Or some other dumb stuff.
Anyway, all that is in the past now. Since this week started, it's been sunshine and rainbows. I want to believe that it's over! The rainy season is gone for good, and we won't get it anymore until next year. So I just hope that we can continue with our lives without the constant threat of cats and dogs falling down on us every time we step foot outside our homes.
So, in a nutshell, moving on! I'm not too comfortable, though, because I know that our weather here can be moving mad sometimes, so I won't be surprised if it does end up raining eventually, but if it doesn't, I'm really gonna be happy! Because boy, I'm sick and tired of it already.
But then, I know myself. In a few months, I'm most likely going to start clamouring for the rainy season to come back because the heating has become unbearable. Well, what can I say, I'm only human. There's no satisfying me!!!
