[ENG] As the trip to the Camino del Rey bought from booking.com was very successful, we decided to use the same offer for the trip from Malaga to Gibraltar. In this case, we were moderately satisfied, as we had to be at the collection point as early as 7:15 a.m. and we arrived at our destination around 11. All because the bus was collecting other tour participants all over the Costa del Sol. A normal cruise bus covers this route an hour quicker, plus we wouldn't have been so constrained by the ‘free’ time in Gibraltar.

[ENG] After going through the strangest border check ever, we stood in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. Before arriving I still made sure we didn't need a visa, as the Brits have recently introduced electronic visas for visitors to the UK. Fortunately, there was no need to purchase a visa. A quick breakfast in Main Street and we headed towards the cable car to The Rock.

Charakterystyczną skała The Rock of Gibraltar to jeden z najbardziej imponujących cudów natury w Europie. „The Rock Tour”, czyli przejaźdzki busem po największych atrakcjach. My wybraliśmy wjazd na szczyt kolejką linową, a w dół zeszliśmy pieszo.

[ENG] The distinctive rock of The Rock of Gibraltar is one of the most impressive natural wonders in Europe. The summit can be reached by a number of means. You can go on foot, which in temperatures of over 25 degrees Celsius is a dubious attraction. Popular are the so-called ‘The Rock Tour’, which is a bus ride around the major attractions. We chose to ascend to the top by cable car and descend on foot. A trip to the top of this massive rock is an unforgettable adventure that combines beautiful views, fascinating history and close encounters with wildlife.

[ENG] From the summit there is a spectacular view in all directions, the coastline on the African side of the strait was perfectly visible. Attractions at the summit are plentiful, some like the ‘Skywalk’ and the ‘Windsor Bridge’ require a bit of courage, not everyone dared to climb the glass observation deck.

Zupełnie inne doświadczenia zapewnia wizyta w Cueva de San Miguel, czyli jaskinia z salą koncertową, oświetlona kolorowymi reflektorami. Dużą część The Rock zajmuje rezerwat przyrody, gdzie królują magoty, jedyne dzikie małpy w Europie.

[ENG] A completely different experience is provided by a visit to the Cueva de San Miguel, a cave with a concert hall illuminated by coloured spotlights. A large part of The Rock is occupied by a nature reserve where magotes, the only wild monkeys in Europe, reign supreme. They are very curious, are not afraid of people and often come very close. However, you must remember not to feed them - there are heavy fines for doing so.

The Rock of Gibraltar to bez wątpienia miejsce, które każdy powinien odwiedzić przynajmniej raz w życiu – gwarantuje niezapomniane wrażenia i wspomnienia na lata.

[ENG] The Rock is not only about nature, but also about fascinating history. Inside the rock are more than 50 km of tunnels, mainly built during World War II. We were running out of energy and running out of our ‘free time’, so we let the tour of the tunnels go. The Rock of Gibraltar is undoubtedly a place that everyone should visit at least once in their lives - it guarantees unforgettable impressions and memories for years to come.
