2015 was a good year for me. I had plenty of fun that summer. Some of that fun will be shown and documented in today's post.
This is one of my favorite places on the coast in the Liznjan area. Some big eroded rocks have fallen into the sea and formed something that looks like a small cavern. Liznjan is a village not far from the town in which I live. Only a couple of kilometers. The beaches there are wild and free. No hotels or similar infrastructure. The photograph was taken on the 13th of August 2015, in the evening.
Some friends were there with me. You can see them in this shot. They lived in Serbia back then and came to visit me more or less every summer from the summer of 2009.
They aren't the only friends in this post about friends, frogs, and the sea.
Here you can see three friends that look a bit like spice girls or some similar 90' pop group while posing for this shot under the lamp in front of my house.
When it comes to the frogs ...
Well, there is only one frog in the post, actually. It was photographed in the center of Pazin. Pazin is an interesting old city in the center of Istra. In the historic center of Pazin, under its medieval castle, there is a deep canyon with many caverns. The frog is photographed in the small river that continues its flow underground.
Here you can see a bit of the scenery by the river. In the following photograph ...
... the focus is again on the seaside scenery four to five kilometers from the village of Liznjan.
What looks like some kind of meditation in this animated GIF is actually only a simulation. I mean, I was only pretending to meditate for the selfie in motion. The GIF was made earlier today. Only two photographs were used to create it.
The place looks pretty cool in black & white.
In this photograph, a friend is coming out of the water after an hour of intense snorkeling. The underwater flora & fauna is rich and interesting in this area.
In this late evening shot a group of friends is walking back to the car.
Here you can take a look at the late-night "meditation" in front of my house.
This photograph was taken somewhere on the outskirts of Medulin, my hometown.
The lovely yellow flower belongs to the Ecballium elaterium plant.
On the same plant, I photographed these small, young nymphs of the Nezara viridula shieldbug.
Here you can see me "meditating" at the top of the stairs. At night.
This shot was taken in my living room.
This is me. In the same living room.
Here you can see two friends in the doorway. The photograph was taken on the 15th of August. It was an unusually rainy day.
I always thought that the third eye in humans can appear only after intense spiritual training, and always on the forehead. On the 13th of August 2015, my third eye came from somewhere deep in the gut and took a worried look at the outside world.
It looks like the eye didn't like what was served in front of it. A minute later it disappeared to never be seen again.
This is just an ordinary selfie. My bathroom mirror made it possible. In the following photograph ...
... I used the same props in a slightly different way.
I played a bit with Photoshop here.
Here you can see me sniffing around some old ruined buildings not far from Liznjan. A couple of kilometers from the village. After preparing the old photographs for today's post ...
... I continued my virtual, more adventurous life in the fantasy realm of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I was exploring some remote caves when these screenshots were taken.
Other adventurers have reached this place before me. You can see one of them here. It looks that the finding didn't bring him anything good.
Life can be hard in Skyrim. While reading the piece of ancient paper shown in this screenshot, I felt my enthusiasm slowly dissolve in my gut leaving only a dose of acid anxiety in its place.
Finding the entrance to the cave system was an adventure in itself. It was hidden behind one of the many waterfalls of Skyrim.
At one point I had to solve a puzzle to enter the central chamber.
Have you noticed the ghostly warriors behind me in this screenshot? I had to fight them to get out of this alive. Yeah, life can be hard in Skyrim. But fortunately, I have magic spells, potions, and weapons at my disposal.
And that's it. I have nothing else to say. Have a great day, or night, wherever on the planet you are. As always here on HIVE, the photographs are my work. Screenshots are just screenshots. I took them while playing the game.
