I went for a walk early this morning, down to the beach ... to stretch my legs, clear the thoughts, and see what's going on in the bay.

img_8615_malo.jpg

I was there a month or two ago last time, and the place looked considerably different back then ...

img_8619_malo.jpg

... more or less like this ... although the photograph was taken today like all the shots in the post, but with all the new, seasonal elements carefully left out of the frame. On the following photograph, taken from a different spot and angle ...

img_8639_malo.jpg

... some of that summer stuff is revealed in all its colorful, plastic - fantastic glory.

(Enlargeable)

Being interested mainly in plants, animals and the intricate beauty of the natural world, I don't care much about the beach entertainment stuff ... but I must admit that these paddle boats disguised as floating cars are cute.

img_8621_malo.jpg

The tide was pretty low ...

img_8627_malo.jpg

... someone built a miniature sand - mountain very early in the morning ...

img_8628_malo.jpg

... and behind that mountain ...

img_8633_malo.jpg

... a bizarre alien city grew on the calm water of the bay. There is something strange, almost Lovecraftian in these shapes.

(Enlargeable)

From certain angles, the floating city looks like a nice, surreal addition to the coastal landscape.

img_8611_malo.jpg

I photographed a solitary sailboat, anchored in the deeper water at the edge of the bay ...

(Enlargeable)

... and then slowly zoomed out ...

(Enlargeable)

... to the deckchairs and parasols on the shore.

img_8625_malo.jpg

The man in black was sweeping the sandy floor ...

(Enlargeable)

... preparing the place for the summer crowd ...

img_8626_malo.jpg

... while pairs of cartoonish sea - cars ...

img_8640_malo.jpg

... were harmoniously floating behind his back.

img_8653_malo.jpg

There is a line of summer stands and terraces all along the beach.

img_8656_malo.jpg

The plaster statue was pissing in the small fountain ...

img_8658_malo.jpg

... near one of those terraces.

img_8659_malo.jpg

It looks that the piss from that sculpture is toxic.

img_8651_malo.jpg

The terrace was surrounded by containers with flowers.

img_8664_malo.jpg

I saw a spray bottle, filled with some cleaning liquid probably, on one of the round tables at the edge of the terrace ...

img_8665_malo.jpg

... and this lovely beer advert with some long multi - bicycle on it.

img_8666_malo.jpg

The thing was nicely lit by the warm light of the early morning sun ... that's the main reason why I photographed it.

img_8660_malo.jpg

On the other side of the narrow winding road that leads along the coastline, under the big Hotels and sport fields, I photographed two very different vehicles ... a slick black car and a black motorcycle ... and then, behind those sleeping machines ...

img_8663_malo.jpg

... and behind the fence ...

img_8662_malo.jpg

... I took a few shots of the climbing plants and the short green grass ...

img_8661_malo.jpg

... of the football pitch.

img_8617_malo.jpg

Back on the beach ...

img_8648_malo.jpg

... among the blue deckchairs and parasols ...

img_8642_malo.jpg

... this cool machine was passing by ...

img_8649_malo.jpg

... some kind of excavator ...

img_8650_malo.jpg

... ready to prepare the terrain for the better and brighter future.

img_8645_malo.jpg

After a few more shots with the many deckchairs, various beach stuff ...

img_8647_malo.jpg

... and the overall scenery ...

img_8644_malo.jpg

... I walked home ... to prepare and publish this post ... and that's all for today THE END.

As always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
