Recently we went for a family walk through the neighborhoods, enjoying the array of beautiful lawns that dotted our sights. I couldn't help but admire one plant that grew in particular...

One of my favourite flowers is the Tiger Lily. I adore it so much that we named our firstborn daughter after it -- Kiva Lily. This gorgeous flower is considered native to various parts of Asia, but here in my country of Canada, we are blessed with various versions of it as well! It is considered a symbol of wealth, prosperity, and good fortune!

I noticed that many of the neighborhood houses had at least one different kind of Tiger Lily, so I decided to document said flowers. Please enjoy this nature photoset:

This is considered one of the "original" Tiger Lilies, for the flower often comes in yellow or orange, with dark spots. It looks like a tiger -- hence the name! 馃惎

(To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure if this one was a Tiger Lily? It could be an orchid, but either way, I've never seen one of this sort orange variety.)

A beautiful pink one was spotted! This flower truly does tickle me pink; I get a tingly feeling in my tummy when I see it 馃グ

This red Tiger Lily is another famous version of the plant. It is meant to represent passion -- as you can see, it is quite a fiery flower!

Again, wasn't sure if this was a Tiger Lily or not, but still a beautiful colour combination nonetheless. I'm a huge fan of orange, it is probably my favourite colour...

This one was my absolute favourite -- whatta beauty!~ 馃槏 This flower seems to be a crossbreed, but isn't it absolutely amazing what we are able to create with nature? I love the way the dark purple borders along the edge of the flowers!

Now these flowers are know for sure are not Tiger Lilies 馃槄 But I still enjoyed seeing these ones as well!

This little itty bitty purple flower was so cute~ 馃ズ It had two sets of purple petals, with lovely little yellow filaments to compliment it.

This one was delightful! It grew in little orange bunches such as this. Very curly and excited -- 10/10!!

This flower was one that my husband happened to capture when he was out exploring one day. Again, no idea what it is! 馃槄 But I really enjoy the springy-looking petals. This one reminds me of some crazy party favour! 馃帀

That will do it for this post! 馃尭 I really hope you enjoyed seeing some of the gorgeous flora that is here in Canada. Until next time!
