We just celebrated (Canadian) Thanksgiving yesterday. I would like to share some of the things that I am grateful for this year.

(We made this beautiful dinner! ๐Ÿ˜ Complete with turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, broccoli, cranberry sauce, and gravy)

One of the wonderful things about growing older, is that your list of gratitude (should) become smaller -- and that is NOT a bad thing! ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™€๏ธ As an adult, I now know what is truly important in life and can choose to focus purely on those things ๐Ÿ™
For example, as a younger person, I might have included video games on my list, which I still think are great to destress and explore new realities... But, today, it is not necessarily something I partake in anymore, as I focus on other things.

First and foremost, I am grateful for my relationship with God ๐Ÿ™ I'm eternally thankful to have found God, and also completely committed myself to Him this year. I have endured so much these past few years, that I have come to accept how truly powerless I am without Him, and how much I truly depend on Him, for EVERYTHING! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

Secondly, my family ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Since embracing God in my life, it has come with a price... There are family members that I have had to cut out of our lives due to their ill intentions and devilish beliefs. This has included my mother, my grandmother, and my mother-in-law (who, unfortunately, we still currently live with, which has made for some very interesting situations...).

But, removing the irrelevant people has helped me focus purely on the ones who DO matter ๐Ÿ’›

I am grateful for my husband. He saved me from my past life of addiction, and helped me onto the path towards a more meaningful life.
And, I am grateful for my children, both earthside and in heaven. They have completely changed my perspective on life and have given me something REAL to work towards while I'm here: becoming a better person, for them ๐Ÿ™

(My husband with our two girls)

Because -- speaking of -- I am thankful for all of the progress that I have achieved through Christ. Over the year, I have asked for consistent help and conviction from the Holy Spirit while attempting to achieve my goals. I have asked God to rid me of my pride, grant me patience, and practice more gratitude in my day-to-day life. He has also helped me gain weight, a feat that I had been struggling with for several years.

God also heard my prayers to conceive -- not only to conceive a child, but to finally be blessed with the son that we have been praying for, for months ๐Ÿ™ NOT ONLY conceive a son, but to be blessed with a healthy pregnancy, one not riddled by Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I am currently 23 weeks and everything is going swimmingly -- glory to God in the highest! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Aside from this, I am thankful for the every day things in my life: a safe, beautiful country to live in, a roof over our heads, delicious food to nourish us, animals that turn into friends, the glorious seasons and changes in the weather...

In everything, I give glory to God -- the ultimate provider and protector! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™Œ Thank You, Lord, for everything!
