Hello everyone, our family had another extravagant walk in the wild, and I wanted to share some of the photos during our adventure 😁
Before we started our adventure, however, we decided to make a quick stop at the Claw Store! 😃 You are probably familiar with the concept, they are very popular; they are claw machines that allow you to win prizes, usually stuffed animals.
Our girls love attending this store. We have gone a handful of times, and they have probably won over 30 stuffed toys! 😱 Of course, this is partly due to the fact that their father helps them play -- myself, I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at playing these machines 😭
Anyway, after the claw machines, we all embarked on the trail 👍 This is a beautiful trail, situated right within suburbia so that you don't have to go "out of your way" for a nice tranquil walk. It is one of our favorite trails to visit during the change in seasons, and given that we are entering autumn, we knew we had to go!
As you can see from some of the photos, we have already experienced a layer of snow! 🥶 This is a rare event in southern Ontario, to receive snow as early as October, but not entirely unheard of. (In fact, as of today, most of the snow has already melted from the sun 🌞).
Being here truly made me feel at peace... The forest was quiet and still, with only a few birds and squirrels chattering about, and I felt very close to God. Getting out of the city can be very beneficial, especially when it comes to getting back to our natural roots 🙏
What's more, this trail is located near our city's -- if not, the world's -- most prestigious university, so there is a wonderful park and field behind the trail. Naturally, we had to take our girls there, and they had a wonderful time...
After the park, we finally began to make our way back home. Along one of the side streets, we came across some graffiti done by a local artist, and it is extremely well-done! 😃 It is Pokémon, and I recognized the characters right away: this is Plusle (the red one) and Minun (the blue one). They are third generation Pokémon, which came out about the same time that I was 8-years-old -- talk about a blast to the past! 😵💫
