Abby helped Yara open the shelter door, only to find their mother dead after a fatal confrontation with Lev. As we fled toward Haven, the group encountered heavy WLF patrols. Yara was tragically shot by soldiers, and when Isaac intercepted Abby to execute Lev, Yara sacrificed herself to save them.
I assisted Yara in forcing open the heavy door of the island shelter to gain entry. The moment we stepped into the dim interior, Yara discovered their mother lying motionless on the floor, having already passed away before our arrival.
Lev was trembling behind, completely frozen in a state of deep emotional shock. He explained that he had desperately tried to make his mother stop attacking him while she screamed, and when she lunged forward, he pushed her away, causing her to strike the table heavily and sustain the fatal injury.
Yara held Lev tightly and convinced him that he was merely defending his own life, emphasizing that he had done nothing wrong. Recognizing the immediate danger of remaining in the area, the siblings made the painful decision to abandon the shelter immediately.
I followed close behind the siblings as we exited the structure and navigated the hazardous terrain. With WLF forces swarming every corner of the island, our primary objective was to reach Haven to locate a boat, though our path was consistently hindered by the grim sight of dead Seraphites.
We slipped inside a nearby building to bypass a WLF patrol group moving through the streets outside. Upon finding an open window that led to the next sector, Lev carefully assisted Yara through the frame first to ensure her safety.
The moment Yara crossed over to the opposite side of the window, a WLF soldier ambushed and captured her. A violent struggle ensued, prompting Abby to leap through the opening immediately to neutralize the WLF soldier.
The group discovered that Yara had suffered a fatal gunshot wound from the soldier, a revelation that plunged Lev into an even deeper state of shock. As additional WLF reinforcements converged on their position, Abby quickly scooped up the devastated boy and tried to retreat.
Isaac suddenly appeared from the shadows, catching Abby completely off guard and filling her with dread. She lowered her weapon instantly and pleaded with her commander to listen to the truth, but Isaac remained entirely focused on executing Lev, making it clear he would shoot through Abby if necessary.
At that critical moment, Yara used her remaining strength to shoot Isaac. The distraction allowed Abby and Lev to react, while the remaining WLF soldiers unleashed a volley of gunfire to ensure Yara was silenced permanently.
