Morning arrived, and I navigated past infected on high ground to meet Spike, received a UV flashlight and remote control. After reporting to the GRE, I entered the Tower, met Brecken and Jade, and volunteered for the next supply drop. Afterward, Dr. Lena tasked me with finding Gazi to retrieve needed medicine.
It was a new morning but the initial assignment remained active. While, leaving the shelter, I spotted infected gathering nearby. Though I took a secondary path through to avoid drawing a crowd only to see that side was also crowded.
I navigated across rooftops, passing the original building where my journey began while keeping an eye out for the creature that had trailed me in the dark.
I could see smoke in the distance reflecting the ruined state of the city and there was this river and a the bridge that also came into my attention. I'm not sure if I can get there, though I'll check later I hope.
Reaching the safe zone, I met with Spike, who commended my work and offered his assistance for future supplies. He handed over a UV flashlight and a remote control, advising me to burn any Volatiles with the UV beam if I encountered them.
Spike explained that Brecken's mission had failed and that Jade was calling all scouts back to the Tower.
Before heading inside, I climbed to a high point to contact the GRE. Crane reported my imminent meeting with the Tower leader, and the GRE acknowledged, instructing me to confirm his identity as soon as possible.
I made my way to the Tower entrance, which remained secured by multiple UV light barriers and staircases destroyed, to prevent infected from scaling the structure.
I rode the elevator up to the main headquarters floor to locate Jade and Brecken. Just as I prepared to enter the room, Jade stopped me outside to explain the failure of Brecken's run.
Inside, Dr. Lena was tending to Brecken's injuries. When Brecken asked who Crane was, he introduced himself as Kyle Crane.
Brecken, frustrated by the lost drop, insisted on personally leading the run for the next one. When Jade tried to talk him down, Crane stepped forward and volunteered to go in his place.
Jade voiced her disapproval, but Brecken overruled her, agreeing to give the run one more attempt before resorting to dealing with Rais. He shook Crane's hand and wished him luck.
Shortly after, Jade was called back into the room, leaving me outside with Lena. The doctor explained that Brecken had suffered a severe head blow that was causing seizures, and she asked me to track down a man named Gazi, who lived under the overpass, as he might have extra medicine stored away.
