Green Thumb?
Don't Hate Me Cuz I Am Beautiful!
People have no idea what it's like to live my life... constantly growing things, while others out there are the Angel Of Gardening Death. It's Just not fair...
Above: Back left, is Arugula, planted 6 weeks ago. Back right, is Butter Crunch Lettuce, planted 6 weeks ago. Front left, Arugula (3 weeks ago) and front right, Butter Crunch, (3 weeks ago)
I plant, grow, and harvest Cut and Come Again method. And I stagger plantings, 3 weeks apart, so that there's always something ready to harvest for salads all year round.
Above: Arugula and Butter Crunch Lettuce snipped for tonight's salad.
Bottom: After washing and spinning in Salad Spinner
Above: Bake potatoes, and scoop out the centers into a bowl.
Bottom: Mix the potato, shredded cheese, and some butter together, and scoop it back INTO the potato.
Above: Bake again, for about 15 more minutes.
Above: A half back of bacon, crisping in the toaster oven.
Bottom: After bacon is crispy, crumble it, for topping onto Twice Baked Potato!(Pic is pre-crumble)
Those yummy greens I picked are a big part of growing and providing for my family all year round. Snow, ice, Rains? Doesn't matter, I try and find a way to grow for my family. I aiming for increasing my food security for my family, as much as possible. Each season, I come closer to independence.
I served my Twice Baked Potato, with my home grown greens, and a nice thin sliced Rib-Eye, cooked on high heat and done rare. When it is this thin, by the time it hits the table, it will cook more, so plan on cooking it under what your family and guests prefer, and let time finish it.
your own health and your own lives.
