Happy Friday, everyone! How has your day been? I wanted to share my experience of visiting the boutique to find clothing for my mother-in-law.
I visited my favorite boutique with the intention of purchasing items for my mother-in-law. I made it a priority to find at least one Turkish outfit for her upcoming birthday in June 2024. Despite being 73 years old, my mother-in-law possesses the youthful spirit of a 43-year-old woman.
I was aware that AdaAbra boutique specializes in Turkish dresses, and their prices are reasonable. However, I was taken aback when I was informed that the outfit I desired for my elegant mother-in-law cost N100,000. My initial budget was N30,000 for a dress, bag, and shoes, with N40,000 being the maximum I was willing to spend. Feeling disappointed, I left the shop empty-handed, as I wanted the items to complement each other.
The current increase in the dollar's value against the naira poses a significant challenge for average and low-income individuals in the country. Upon returning home, I began strategizing on how to afford a birthday gift for my mother-in-law. Despite the tough economic situation, I remain optimistic that by June, I'll find a way to make the purchase because she loves Turkey dress and wearing a new one on her birthday will make her very happy for I want her to stay alive for me.
Below, you'll find pictures taken at the boutique, as well as a photo of my mother-in-law. All images belong to me.
Thank you for reading and viewing. Happy weekend to you all.
