Whenever I look at this wildflower it irresistibly reminds me on lavender, almost same bushy plant, same color of flowers, same shape.
Later I found out that this plant is known as Garden sage or Common sage (Lat. Salvia officinalis) and all similarities with the lavander are not accidental. They both belongs to same family of plants (Lamiaceae).
Pink-purple color of flowers simply draw your attention. For today's post I made small collection of photos where many butterflies enjoy moments feeding themself with nectar of this gorgeous flowers.
All photos are made during last week, month May is the time when garden sage flourish. I can see them everywhere in nature. I hope you will like my combination of butterflies and this flowers?!
