Hi, my name is Maza. Three years ago, during the summer, I "attached" myself to a beautiful family and won over all of their affection. Even though they didn't initially plan to adopt me and only wanted to feed me because I was hungry, take care of me and then find me another home (since they already had countless cats at the time) I was determined to stay!
When I first arrived in front of their gate, I would whimper and hide behind the refrigerators and display coolers outside their shop. Then, little by little, I started venturing into the yard as well, cautiously, one step forward, two steps back. (: There were some puffed-up cats there who didn't seem very friendly at first. Maybe they actually were, but I was very small and afraid of everything.
One day, I even made it halfway across the yard and hid under a parked car, when Bojana (Bibana) placed three of Grandma's stuffed cabbage rolls right in front of me, freshly made. Grandma, of course, wasn't too thrilled about it, but guess what, I certainly was. 馃き They were unbelievably delicious! Hehe. I gobbled up every last bite and from that moment on, I was even more certain that I was going to stay with them.
People later said that I had been everywhere, all around the village, stopping in front of everyone's gate and wandering about. They had seen me in a little group of other puppies... although I don't remember any of that. I was really tiny.
Later on, the veterinarian estimated and recorded that I had been born in June 2023. Sooo... maybe my birthday is around this time these days. I know Bojana's is coming up soon, in just a few days. We're both Geminis what does that even mean in the dog horoscope, ahaha.
Anyway, that's not important. What matters is that I have a wonderful life with them. Everyone loves me, takes care of me and looks after me. Sometimes they raise their voices if I've decided to squeeze through somewhere and run off, but I know it's for my own good.
I have all the freedom I could ever need. I have a warm little house on the upstairs terrace, two cushions inside the house and an entire yard to run around in... And then there are all the walks, by the river or up on the hill, when they let me off the leash and I get to sniff, search and explore.
I'm very smart, even though I'm not a purebred dog. Whenever I linger somewhere and Bojana or her sister Aleksandra say: "BACK," I immediately dash back to them.
That would be all for this first part of my dog blog. In the next one, I'll tell you about how they took care of me when I was sick, about my adventures sneaking off into the neighborhood and about my friendship with their cat, whom I grew up with.
Woof woof! 馃惥
