Hey everyone, how are you today? Is it cold at your place? Lucky you if you are not preparing firewood for the arrival of winter these days, because you would wake up with sore muscles, just like me today, hihi.

Anyway, the weather has been a bit nicer these days, more like late summer, at least for a few hours during the day, before it gets cold again in the evening. That's when it really starts to smell like winter, and that little cloud of breath we make when breathing outside has started to appear. We used the nice weather to prepare firewood for winter, and I won't complain, because this is something I always find fun. My part of the job is usually throwing the already cut pieces into the shed, without any special order, literally like playing basketball. 😍 That's exactly what I did, I played around, had fun, and yesterday I unloaded the whole full trailer, putting every single piece of wood away one by one. I didn't feel tired at all, but this morning, when it was time to get up, every muscle, tendon, bone, everything, absolutely everything, was hurting. xD

That also made me do a little Googling, because lately I've been waking up with aches more often, no matter how well I sleep (at least I think I sleep well).

So, after searching for Mediterranean gluten-free and lactose-free recipes (because I would love to eat like that most of the time), I ended up Googling good and bad sleeping positions. I typed in a detailed description of how I usually lie down and fall asleep, whether on my left or right side. One leg is stretched out as much as possible, the other is bent so that the knee almost touches my chin, my shoulder is almost dislocated as it touches the bed for support, and my arms are in a T-rex position under my chin. It turns out that I sleep in the position of an extreme mountain climber with T-rex arms and that people with hypermobility sleep like that. Wait, what? And little by little, while watching different Reels, I came to realize that I also have hypermobility and that it is not the same as flexibility. Quite the opposite, in most cases it causes problems and exactly the kind of pain I feel.
Since I have an RRMS diagnosis, I always think that I have some new symptom or a relapse, so I get a little disappointed, because most of the time I don't even think about it at all. I have my treatment, thank God, and I believe it will help and that I will be okay.

Anyway, back to hypermobility, are there any of you who are like me?

We can move our elbows a little further backwards than normal people, who straighten them to 180 degrees. We can also push our knees further backwards and lock them, touch our forearms with our thumbs without any problem, bend our fingers backwards at a 90-degree angle, everything is constantly cracking, our necks, our joints, and when we sit down, we tuck our legs under our butts and think that it feels good and that we are resting like that. But nooooo, it's completely the opposite.

The solution is swimming, walking, spending less time lying down, strength exercises to build up our muscles as much as possible, and those pillows you hug, with one part between your knees, one supporting your stomach and shoulder, and one for your neck. I have to order those. :D

But how am I supposed to stop sitting with my legs tucked under my butt? I sat like that throughout my whole childhood and growing up. During classes, nobody could make me sit properly like all the other kids, and now, in my thirties, I'll have to change that, pfff! xD

Besides that, for the past two or three weeks, since viruses and colds have become more common, I haven't been able to breathe normally. I've been using nose drops that I almost never used before, and I've already finished one bottle. I literally wake up during the night to use them because otherwise I feel like I'm going to suffocate. I also added Defrinol, which always helps me, so I'm hoping it will clear my blocked sinuses, because today I'm supposed to take a new dose of my MS medication. It works by lowering lymphocytes, meaning it lowers immunity, so I'm thinking about whether I should postpone it for a few days until this is over.

I'm not sure about the medication, maybe I'll inject myself tonight, but this chocolate I got from my father-in-law today will definitely have to wait for a month or two, until I've been eating healthy for a while and decide to treat myself for a day and have a proper cheat day. 🥰

Since it's a tiny bit colder today than yesterday, I spent more time thinking about what I could do around the house. Besides the usual chores, running the dishwasher, doing the laundry, cleaning the house, I remembered that this little zamioculcas cutting has been sitting in water and that it was probably time to plant it.

I love green decorative houseplants, but somehow I'm not very good at keeping them alive. So, out of the five zamioculcas cuttings, one is completely gone, while this one recovered a little, so I separated it from the others and decided to plant it in this little pot. I hope it survives and gets better. It looks nice even like this, all bare and twisted, like some kind of mini palm tree.

And how are you spending your weekend? 🤗
