First of all let me apologise for the terrible blog title! I was trying to think of something snake related, and you know when something enters your head and refuses the leave or allow any other thoughts enter?.... yeah that! 馃槀
I wanted to share with you a photoshoot I did a couple of years ago, with my dear friend Amanda, and one of my least favourite things, snakes!!!
I still remember the day very vividly.
There was a knock on the door, which I opened to a box with a snake inside it, sat on my doorstep. Not a human in site (the lovely Lynsey of Roaming Reptiles, had just popped to her car to get the other one, leaving me a little nervous stood on my doorstep with this box of snake).
Once inside and after a few nervous looks from afar, I git to setting my lighting up in the studio, as Mandy familiarised herself with the giant creepy worms. -honestly! The things I do for my friends!
I have to say, once we got going I thoroughly surprised myself with how my professional head kicked in. With Lyndsey on hand to help manoeuvre the snakes into various poses.
There was a moment I feared for my life as the python tried to make a break for it, in my direction! I had no idea those things could move so quickly!
I survived! I came out of the experience alive and unscathed...and without having to actually touch a single snake!
Poor Mandy on the other hand did play the role of a snake toilet right after this final shot! And you can see where the back end of the snake is positioned 馃檲
