We are having our lunch now at a Filipino restaurant, Mesa. Mesa means table in the Filipino language. I heard this is owned by a big Filipino showbiz celebrity, Sharon Cuneta.

If you've seen some Filipino food in real life or in the Internet, you would probably agree with me that most are monochromatic and we need more color in our food. Most of our asian neighbors, their oriental cuisine are colorful.

However, even if we lack that color or appeal in our dishes, we still have them burst with flavors and great taste. Filipino dishes are well cooked and will really give you that satisfaction when you try them out. You will surely love them and will come back for more.

In the picture is a traditional Crispy Pata which is deep fried pork leg, probably the belly part, and the other one is Kare-Kare, it's a pork dish with peanut butter sauce and vegetables.

Nothing pleases my pallet like our very own Filipino food. This is a celebration of a good week that has come and gone. Enjoy your Friday, everyone! Thanks for reading.
