Greetings thread lover community around the world, I wish you a happy start to the week with your loved ones, I am happy to share with you again a new sewing project, as I mentioned previously I am doing the fourth phase of the course of sewing which has been a lot of learning and also new challenges that have allowed me to learn new techniques to advance in the tasks, I still have to finish several projects for which I need specific pieces and needles that I have not yet managed to obtain, in this On this occasion I made a basic flannel in two colors for my husband. In recent months I have sewn clothes for my son and nephew Aarón, so it is my turn to make something for men.
Saludos comunidad amante de los hilos en todo el mundo, les deseo un feliz inicio de semana en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir nuevamente con ustedes un nuevo proyecto de costura, como he comentado anteriormente estoy realizando la cuarta fase del curso de costura el cual ha sido de mucho aprendizaje y también nuevos retos que me han permitido aprender nuevas técnicas para avanzar en las tareas, aún tengo pendiente terminar varios proyectos para los cuales necesito unas piezas y agujas específicas que aún no he logrado conseguir, en esta ocasión elaboré una franela básica en dos colores para mi esposo, en los últimos meses he cosido ropa para mi hijo y sobrino Aarón, así que es el turno de hacer algo para caballeros.
The materials used were:
Blue wafit polo wafit fabric (1 meter).
Black polo wafit fabric (30 cm)
Molds
Scissors
Chalk
Sewing machine
Thread.
I started by cutting the flannel pieces; back, front, neck and sleeves, for the latter I used black fabric, I like to use two colors of fabric in this type of flannel to highlight the sleeves; as they are part of the neck and so you can appreciate the design much better.
Los materiales usado fueron:

Tela polo wafit color negro (30 cm)
Moldes
Tijera
Tiza
Máquina de coser
Hilo.
Inicié cortando las piezas de la franela; trasero, delantero, cuello y mangas, para estas últimas usé tela negra, me gusta usar dos colores de tela en este tipo de franela para resaltar las mangas y crear un diseño diferente a los tradicionales.
Once the pieces are cut the next step is to join the back and front by the shoulders, then I pin the sleeves, I sew straight stitching and reinforcement with zig zag stitch, once the sleeves are sewn I close the sides with straight stitch; sewing this flannel model is easy and fortunately thanks God I had no problems this time and I could finish the project in a short time. Once the flannel was assembled I sewed a hem of one centimeter on the hem and sleeves.
Cortadas las piezas el siguiente paso es unir el trasero y delantero por los hombros, luego sujeto con alfileres las mangas, paso costura recta y refuerzo con puntada de zig zag, cosidas las mangas cierro los laterales con puntada recta; coser este modelo de franelas es sencillo y afortunadamente gracias a Dios no tuve inconvenientes en esta oportunidad y pude terminar el proyecto en poco tiempo. Ya armada la franela cosí un dobladillo de un centímetro en el ruedo y las mangas.
To finish the collar is glued, to do it I cut a 56 cm strip or bias, sewed by the ends and folded by the right side then I passed zig zag stitch, divided into four (4) parts and fastened with pins to the flannel, I sewed with straight stitch facing right to right and stretching the bias 1 cm every 5 cm to avoid wrinkles; I made the collar with rib fabric, it is a type of fabric with the perfect texture, thickness and elongation for collars and cuffs, it adapts very well and allows to obtain a neat finish, it is my favorite fabric for this type of pieces.
Para finalizar se pega el cuello, para hacerlo corté una tira o sesgo de 56 cm, cosí por los extremos y doblé por el derecho luego pasé puntada de zig zag, dividí en cuatro (4) partes y sujeté con alfileres a la franela, cosí con puntada recta enfrentado derecho con derecho y estirando el sesgo 1 cm cada 5 cm para evitar que quede arrugado; el cuello lo hice con tela rib, es un tipo de tejido con la textura, grosor y elongación perfecta para los cuellos y puños se adapta muy bien y permite obtener un acabado prolijo, es mi tela preferida para este tipo de piezas.
In a few simple steps the flannel is finished, the process of elaboration was fast and without difficulties, which makes me very happy, the polo wafit fabric sews very well, I have used it in several projects and I like its texture and this occasion was no exception, I liked it and the result and also my husband, he is excited with his new flannel.
En pocos y sencillos pasos está terminada la franela, el proceso de elaboración fue rápido y sin dificultades, lo cual me hace muy feliz, la tela polo wafit se cose muy bien, la he usado en varios proyectos y me gusta su textura y esta ocasión no fue la excepción, me gustó y el resultado y también a mi esposo, está emocionado con su nueva franela.
