The first step was to mark and cut a 50 * 30 centimeter rectangle to make the towel, to decorate it I cut a 15 * 35 centimeter strip of vegetable patterned fabric and a 12 * 12 square to decorate the top corner of the towel.

El primer paso fue marcar y cortar un rectángulo de 50 * 30 centímetros para hacer la toalla, para decorarlo corté una franja de tela estampada con motivos de vegetales de 15 *35 centímetros y un cuadrado de 12 * 12 para decorar la esquina superior de la toalla.
I then sewed a hem using decorative stitch all the way around the towel.
Luego cosí un dobladillo utilizando puntada decorativa por todo el contorno de la toalla.
I sewed the hem right side facing the strip of fabric decorated with vegetables and sewed the towel to the bottom, then turned right side out, folded inward and sewed along the top and bottom of the towel, folded the excess fabric back and sewed a hem of about (1) one centimeter with a straight stitch.
Cosido el dobladillo enfrenté por el derecho la franja de tela decorada con vegetales y la toalla cosí en la parte inferior, luego voltee por el derecho doblé hacia dentro y cosí por la parte superior e inferior de la toalla, el sobrante de tela lo doblé hacia atrás y cosí un dobladillo de aproximadamente (1) un centímetro con puntada recta.
To finish I ironed a hem on the fabric in the square, then I sewed and turned the fabric right side out, then with a straight stitch I sewed the outline so that the hem is facing inward, I placed a ribbon on the back that will serve as a hanging; with these simple steps a beautiful towel to decorate the kitchen and use while preparing food is finished.
Para finalizar planché un dobladillo en la tela en el cuadrado luego enfrente revés de la toalla con derecho de la tela, cosí y volteé por el derecho, luego con puntada recta cosí el contorno de tal forma que el dobladillo quede hacia adentro, coloqué en la parte trasera una cinta que servirá de colgadero; con estos sencillos pasos está terminada una hermosa toalla para decorar la cocina y usar mientras preparamos los alimentos.
Towels and pot holders are very important in the kitchen when preparing food, because we wash vegetables, handle pots and it is very good to have a towel at hand with which we can dry ourselves or use in some cases to carry pots or hot objects from one place to another, I hope this project is to your liking and encourage you to do it.
Las toallas y agarraderas son muy importantes en la cocina al momento de preparar los alimentos, pues lavamos los vegetales, manipulamos ollas y es muy bueno tener a la mano una toalla con la cual nos podamos secarnos o utilizar en algunos casos para llevar las ollas u objetos calientes de un lugar a otro, espero este proyecto sea de su agrado y se animen a realizarlo
