Hey Hivers,
Are you one who needs a hot beverage in the morning? What do you usually have it with? Pictured above is one of our recent quick and easy Saturday morning breakfasts.
My hot beverage aka hot Bev was matcha tea 🍵. Since the tea is conveniently sold in a pack, all we needed to do was add hot water. We had it with warm bread rolls which were reheated using our small toaster oven.This was served with a few eggs which were whisked in a container and fried. As I indicated this breakfast was, a quick and easy breakfast on a Saturday morning.
I recall the days we thought weekends were free and mom was usually home. But now that I'm grown with a family of my own its clearer now she was actually working from home. Dad would be back early on Saturdays and there was always church on Sundays. I guess it was somehow inevitable that we've become our parents starting our own family and continuing the cycle.
As I complete these lines on my train commute I recall that the elders often said "train up a child in the way he or she should grow and when he is old he will not depart from it"...or was that from the good book.
Well either way I'll leave you here for now as I home and it's time to have another hot beverage.
