Hey foodies! How are you all? I hope you are doing well and enjoying your day.
I often love having French toast with a hot cup of tea, especially when I want something simple, comforting and delicious for breakfast. There is something so special about enjoying a warm homemade breakfast with tea. It makes my morning feel peaceful and happy.
Today I thought of sharing one of my favorite and very easy breakfast recipes with you all. So let’s make some delicious homemade French toast together!
Ingredients
• 2 eggs
• Powdered sugar according to your taste
• ½ cup milk
• ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
• Bread slices
• Desi ghee or butter for frying
First, take two eggs in a bowl. Add powdered sugar according to your taste. Beat the eggs and sugar very well until everything is nicely combined.
Now add half a cup of milk and a little vanilla essence. Beat everything again until you have a smooth mixture. The vanilla gives the French toast a beautiful aroma and makes it taste even better.
Now take your bread slices. You can cut the bread into any shape you like. I usually cut one bread slice into four pieces because I find the small pieces easier to dip and cook.
Take each piece of bread and dip it into the egg and milk mixture. Make sure both sides are nicely coated, but don't soak the bread for too long because it can become too soft and difficult to handle.
Now heat a pan and add desi ghee or butter. You can also use oil, but personally I feel that French toast tastes much better when cooked in desi ghee or butter. The flavor and aroma become so delicious and give the toast a lovely homemade taste.
Place the dipped bread pieces into the pan and cook them on low to medium heat. Let them cook slowly until one side becomes beautiful golden brown.
Once the first side is golden brown, carefully turn each piece over and cook the other side as well. Keep the heat low so that the bread cooks nicely from the inside without burning from the outside.
And that's it! Our delicious French toast is ready.
You can serve it hot with a cup of freshly made tea. You can also add some honey, syrup, powdered sugar or fresh fruit if you like. But honestly, I love keeping it simple and enjoying it with hot tea.
For me, breakfast is not just about eating something. Sometimes a simple homemade breakfast can make your whole morning feel better. I especially enjoy those quiet moments when I sit with a hot cup of tea and something freshly cooked.
French toast is one of those breakfasts that brings a little comfort and happiness. The soft bread inside, the slightly crispy golden outside and the lovely aroma of desi ghee make it so tempting.
And when the weather is pleasant, these little moments become even more special. There is something beautiful about sitting comfortably with a warm cup of tea while enjoying homemade food. Even an ordinary morning can feel peaceful and enjoyable.
I also love recipes that don't require too many ingredients or too much time. This French toast is perfect for those mornings when you want to prepare something tasty without spending hours in the kitchen.
So if you have some bread, eggs and milk at home, don't forget to try this easy recipe. It is simple, delicious and perfect for breakfast or even an evening tea-time snack.
