Day 4! I haven't broken my streak yet so that's good for m UwU
As promised, I didn't really go with the dynamic poses cuz the first time I saw this prompt, The first thing I thought was that it had to be dynaic cuz dodge is a verb. And honestly, I suck with anything dynamic cuz the perspective and proportion always comes off as weird to me and I hate it. My perfectionist brain loses it's mind just by thinking of a dynamic pose so... I did a bit more research. What else can you dodge aside from kicks and punches?
Then came an image of a knife thrower and his big booba knife dodger.
Dodging knives in carnivals and that was it! cuz the target doesn't move (most o fthe time, unless strapped to a spinning wheel) so I went with that.
Materials: rainbow pen UwU red and white gel pen
Duration: 2.5 hours
For this one, I didn't need to dry anything, no ink or anything, I just went pure pen again cuz I was gonna make it colorful enough anyways.
As you can see, when I do bodies and skin tones, I always start with an orange pen. Idk it's probably the closest I can get to skin tone that still looks pretty natural. I kind of lost my mind with anatomy again cuz of those arms. So I think I really need to review my anatomy again after all of this cuz I need to stop losing my mind over anatomy XD
Needless to say, I gave her big booba and pin up model vibes cuz when I think 1920s, these were the kind of cute pin up model illustration you find XD
Still couldn't figure out what to do with the hand and arm but the proportions were coming to life now
I was planing to do a sort of pinwheel kind of background for this at first but then when I was doing the sketch.... I got lazy and just decided to do a solid fill because I was getting sleepy and there's still work tomorrow ;;-;; My hand got red af after filling in that paper though XD and gel pen ink isn't something you'd want all over your hand especially when it's alcohol based and it takes a while for the ink to fade XD
I wasn't so fond of this drawing as much as I was when I was conceptualizing it XD but it definitely came out cute and I think I definitely got that pin up girl vibe from this, or at least a completely feminine vibe because I wanted to try pulling that off again. Last time I managed that was 2020 and I was still using charcoal then.
This has been my day 4 inktober attempt XD I hope you guys found this cute and I'll be seeing you guys tomorrow for day 5!
Happy inktober and Happy October!
