Hello hello! I am back and I is the 2nd day of inktober. I'm actually petty happy about this one because I did it before bed lat night and just finished it before my work break ended soooo that left me with time to typeand stay on my self imposed schedule XD
Today's prompt is relic stuff o the old that my or may not have any value.I wanted to do something quick because it's a Friday and I rally just wanted to chill and not think too much so I could enjoy my evening with the CT and hopefully with one or 2 more drawings sine I did promise myself an artful weekend.
Duration: 2. hours
Materials: Black and white pen, black marker,a a bit of chalk, liquid ink
Very inky, yes. And very mysterious, a key that hung from somewhere, who knows what other relics cam with it. But whenever I think o relics, I usually think something old so I think this was a perfect choice for the prompt.
As for my progression:
I started my paper with ablack stain bu I think I may have used contaminated water because the he's on the black separatd... Or I think my brush was dirty when I used it, either way, I actually like how the initial ink stain looked because it was a little dramatic and a little dark so when I was working on my pen layers, th white actually did pop out and that made me happy. I don't think I spent that long on th kety itself, maybe just some 40-50 minutes while I was having my protein shake then that was it. what took me long was when I tried to do a liquid ink layer fo the surrounding o the key first then noticed that it still too light for my liking so I ended up using a solid marker on I so I could get that depth I wanted.
At this pint I was fairly happy so the next step was too smoothen out some lines then add tiny tiny details on it as I go ND I think it was the tiny details ht really got to me because omy perfectionist nature.
But after all that, I was pretty happy with how it generally came out because the contrast was pretty sharp but also, the definitions and the details didn't really get overpowered by anything else so I can say that this day 2 one was a success ^^
But that's all from me for now ^^ I still have 29 prompts to go and I really aim to finish this inktober this year even if I have to fak sickness at work XD
But also because I'm just looking for a reason to skip work too because the responsibilities are rally just eating me up that it's getting really suffocating for me sometimes.
