John had just gotten his promotion letter. He had been promoted to Southern Area Superintendent. He was overjoyed, so overjoyed he and his close friend Gary had to stop by a pub, to have a few drinks and reminisce a little. It was still evening time, but he decided to just let things be this time.

As he and his friend Gary were having some drinks, John's mind wandered off to his first days in the station. He joined the station as a boy. Not really a boy per say, he was a man physically and in age, but mentally he was a boy. Complaining at every slight inconvenience, not willing to do the dirty work, reckless, to name a few. The first few weeks were hell. He felt like he was being picked on by the then superintendent Chief Bobby.

He was made to do extra training, and always left out of the good stuff. He felt as though Chief Bobby disliked him, but he didn't know Chief Bobby was actually training him, and making him a better man. It was until later when chief Bobby told him how he reminded him of himself that he realized Chief Bobby was actually doing the best for him.

He put in more effort and look at him now. He's the new Chief Superintendent.
