I Ejected Her from My Heart for the Sake of Her Rejection 🍶
‎It was a bright, cold morning.
‎I sat on a sofa in a dilapidated building, feeling castigated. I looked into my phone, staring at the message:
‎“I can’t be your girlfriend—just a friend.”
‎
‎Should I block the number? Or should I continue being her friend?
‎I wrestled with it for a long time.
‎
‎Eventually, we met again, but our once exciting conversations had dwindled into mere greetings. I watched myself build a top-notch barrier—no help to offer anymore. Why? Because she would gladly accept help, money, and gifts, but I was no longer into that. I had grown past it.
‎
‎So, I started watching YouTube videos about tough breakups and made myself a promise: No more emotional investments until marriage. I stayed true to that, choosing instead to focus on making money.
‎
‎She still called often and asked if I was upset. I always replied, “No.” But by then, it had become just another story to tell.
‎
‎Most times, I feel it was a waste of time. Just eject them from your heart, your life.
‎They want the benefits without the commitment.
‎Not me.
‎Marriage first.

‎Thank you all for your work in the community.
‎I stand to be corrected.
