Following the incessant case of stealing in their neighbourhood, Josh and other residents decided to form a local vigilante so as to guide their territory both day and night.
At first, most people kicked against the idea but a few others insisted that it will help them in tht long run.
After several pleas, the male residents then volunteered to form the vigilante group. Josh was among them. He was also made a group leader. Monies were raised to buy a few things they needed for the smooth running of the newly formed security group.
As they can began their operations, just few days they were able to catch some criminals who came to steal yams in some private barns. People started believing in them.
In one of the days Josh lead his group they were able to intercept a large consignment of banned illicit gins and other stolen farm produce. The police were alerted and the arrested culprits handed over to them for prosecution.
In a space of three months of operation the entire neighbourhood became calm. That was a good testament that the vigilante group was working. Many other male members of the neighbourhood who were skeptical in the beginning now decided to join them in their quest to weed out crime and criminal elements within their neighbourhood.
