So, my buddy Rocky went out shopping the other day with a close female friend of his. The goal was simple—find a cool, trendy pair of jeans for our upcoming friend's get-together tomorrow. Naturally, since he was with a girl, there was no way he was going to a cheap local market.
He took her straight to a high-end mall and dropped a whopping $420 on a pair of fancy branded jeans. Add a movie and some food on top of that, and the guy managed to blow through almost $1,000 in a single day!
Now, as for me, I also needed a new pair of jeans for the party. But I’m more of a wholesale market kind of guy. I love shopping there because they have tons of options and the prices are super fair. I ended up picking up two pairs of jeans for just $32. The shopkeeper even threw in a free t-shirt! Honestly, I always buy from him and I’ve introduced a bunch of my friends to his shop, so he treats me pretty well.
The next day at the party, I showed up wearing my new jeans and t-shirt, feeling pretty good. Buying new clothes is just a normal thing for me, nothing to brag about. But Rocky? Man, he couldn’t stop talking about his $420 branded jeans to literally everyone!
Seeing him show off like that, the naughtiest guy in our group threw down a challenge. The deal was simple: tear off a pocket from your jeans with one hard yank. Whoever’s pocket ripped first had to cover the entire party bill equal to the cost of their jeans!
Rocky, super confident in his high-end jeans, asked if we could start the challenge with him first.
And guess who got picked to pull the pocket? Yours truly.
I grabbed his pocket, gave it one hard yank, and SNAP—it ripped right off!
To be honest, I wasn't even happy that Rocky was on the hook for $420 now. My heart actually ached for the brand itself! I mean, I just yanked off the pocket of a top-tier branded pair of jeans in one go... what kind of quality is that?!

Anyway, the challenge ended right there because that $420 was more than enough to cover our food for the day. Turns out, those $420 jeans were pretty cheap after all.
