Argentinian picnic outdoors. 🍂

I love nature, parks, outdoor spaces, enjoying them, the fresh air, the plants, the trees and the flowers.

The day was nice, not a cloud and the sun was shining so I told my mother, instead of eating at home, let's go to a park and take something for lunch and drink mate. We Argentines love mate and even if we are out of the country we take it with us wherever we go.

So we prepared everything we needed and set off for a park. It was finished about three years ago and around it there are some beautifully designed buildings that catch the eye.

There is still not much shade on the site, because the trees are growing, but in designing it they kept old, leafy trees that were already on the land in the northern part of the park.

It is a beautiful place for a nice walk, especially in winter, where the warmth of the sun caresses the faces and it feels great to sit on a bench and enjoy it.

There are many areas where children can play, with various types of games and around these areas there are benches where parents can sit and chat with each other and watch their children.

In the centre of the park you can walk through a large space where the gazebo has not yet grown much, perhaps due to the intense summer heat. At that time of the year and with little shade it is more difficult to be there, you suffer a lot from the heat.

Although it is winter, it is beautiful to see the trees sleeping, waiting for their leaves to sprout.

There are also some kind of waterfalls and that day there was a light breeze that made the water dance softly.

A few flowers are appearing these days, as it is getting warmer and more spring-like.

When I walk through this wide space I can look out and see the different places where the children play and hear the smiles.

This long walk took my mother and me to the northern part of the park where there are some beautiful trees with striking trunks.

Under this big tree, there is a lot of shade, and there on the benches you can enjoy the serenity, peace, nature and the view.

At the back of the park there is a green area with grass, where many people picnic, there is a lot of shade and a quiet atmosphere.

But as my mother is 70 years old, it is better not to sit on the ground, so we chose a bench to have something to eat and enjoy lunch in the open air.

The views from the north side of the park are very nice and at the same time different, on one side I can see the walking path and on the other the playground section.

While my mother was chatting on the phone with her friends, I took a walk alone along one side of the park, taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine to hit my face.

I could see colourful flowers, different bushes and trees.

I like a lot more the shadows drawn on the sand, the palm trees seem to want to escape and walk away.

Many plants are getting ready to give their flowers, although they are still a few days away, but they are already with all their green and radiant hours.

I looked for a spot where the sun's rays could filter through the palm trees, I love to see the effect and the colours they produce in the photographs.

These modern buildings, which have only recently been completed, hide behind the trees, not realising that their height makes this impossible. Would they hide from me?

When I reach the southern end of the park I can admire a different landscape with a different light and perspective.

I think the palm trees here were standing still, they didn't want me to know that they were also going for a walk. But I am sure that as soon as I left they would be on their way.

That is, as long as that big building that controls the park let them move. Here you can see very well how it is watching them and keeping an eye on them. What an imagination of mine.

My mother and I looked for a shady place to prepare mate Argentino, to enjoy it while we listened to the children play and breathed fresh air in a natural environment, accompanied by the warmth of the sun.
