Greetings to the friends who visit my blog
I’d like to share my experience from a quick trip to a shopping mall in Medellín. That Wednesday, there was a small exhibition and sale featuring a variety of items, ranging from clothing, bags, hats, necklaces, and bracelets, to Christmas decorations.
I took a photo of a Christmas lantern stall displaying various models, each featuring a different decorative theme inside. Some featured Santa Claus, reindeer, or angels, while others had figures of Elsa and Anna from Disney's Frozen.
The lanterns, illuminated by white and bright blue LEDs, featured a mechanism that kept the glitter, or "snow"in constant, floating motion. So, there is no longer any need to shake them to get the glitter moving. We don't even do that anymore; the world is set up for us to simply watch without lifting a finger. Well, that’s a topic for another time.
I found the designs truly elegant. The lanterns were so beautiful that I stopped to take photos, though I only managed to snap a few before the stall owner told me that photographing the merchandise wasn't allowed. I told him I hadn't known and walked away. He looked at me as if expecting me to delete the photos, but here they are on Hive.
It was impossible to stop, so I kept walking among some of the stalls to admire their wares and continue taking photos. The clothing and accessories were reminiscent of Indian culture. There were beautiful, highly colorful bags, featuring intricate gold embroidery, sequins, and small beads. Simply stunning.
I looked at some caps with eye-catching metal accessories attached to the front including small bells, chains, and metal coins, that give them a distinctive sparkle and sound, especially when dancing. They are very lovely.
Displayed on a table were many highly ornate necklaces and chokers, crafted from beads, seed beads, gemstones, and large medallions all very colorful. On metal stands, there were earrings, necklaces, and other pieces adorned with numerous engraved antique coins a hallmark of the decorative style belonging to the culture represented at these stalls.
There was also clothing for those who enjoy pieces with an Indian-inspired style, garments made from lightweight, breathable fabrics featuring distinctive, patterned designs. Another thing I appreciated was observing the interaction between the customers and the salesperson, who provided friendly service. Just as it should be.
The woman at the market stall didn't mind me taking photos, even though I was just looking and not buying. You know, by complimenting their work, I manage to get them to let me take pictures.
Without a doubt, this small fair—set up in a corridor of the shopping mall, offered some lovely things. I enjoyed looking around while I was there, and I hope those who visit my blog will find it enjoyable, too.
If you stopped by to join me on my Wednesday outing, I truly appreciate it.
A hug!
