Reencuentro entre amigos luego de más de 10 años sin vernos//Reunion between friends after more than 10 years without seeing each other

La amistad es uno de los sentimientos más maravillosos que puede experimentar un ser humano, es un cariño inexplicable que llegamos a sentir por una o varias personas sin necesidad tener lazos sanguíneos con ellas, llegan a ocupar un lugar muy especial dentro de ti vida y de tu corazón.

Friendship is one of the most wonderful feelings that a human being can experience, it is an inexplicable affection that we come to feel for one or more people without having to have blood ties with them, they come to occupy a very special place in your life and your heart.

Hace aproximadamente 15 años atrás tuve la dicha de pertenecer a un grupo de estudios en la universidad, los cuales se convirtieron en algo más que compañeros de clases, fueron mis amigos, mi apoyo, mis hermanos, esos que estaban conmigo en todo momento, pero que por razones personales no pudieron terminar la carrera junto conmigo, ustedes saben cómo se dan las cosas en el mundo universitario.

Approximately 15 years ago I had the happiness of belonging to a study group at the university, which became more than just classmates, they were my friends, my support, my brothers, those who were with me at all times, but that for personal reasons they could not finish their studies together with me, you know how things happen in the university world.

Pero esto no impidió que continuaramos en contacto y que mantuvieramos una gran amistad que ha perdurado en el tiempo, a través de las redes sociales hemos podido estar en contacto y saber que a pesar de que cada quien hizo su vida y tiene sus propias ocupaciones y responsabilidades.

But this did not prevent us from continuing in contact and from maintaining a great friendship that has lasted over time, through social networks we have been able to stay in touch and know that despite the fact that everyone has made their lives and has their own occupations and responsibilities.

Hace algunos días atrás decidimos crear un grupo de WhatsApp para estar más cerca, ya que uno de los integrantes de este clan de amigos estaba fuera del país y regresó por motivos familiares.

A few days ago we decided to create a WhatsApp group to be closer, since one of the members of this clan of friends was out of the country and returned for family reasons.

Esto trajo como consecuencia que de inmediato nos pudiéramos de acuerdo para reunirnos luego de tantos años de distancia lo que me pareció excelente y puse mi casa a la orden para que se llevara a cabo este grandioso reencuentro.

This brought as a consequence that we could immediately agree to meet after so many years away, which I thought was excellent and I put my house in order for this great reunion to take place.

Cómo era de suponerse íbamos a pasar todo el día juntos y por eso decidimos hacer un arroz chino Venezolano con pollo, cochino, salchichas, sobretodo pensando en los niños porque ya no somos nosotros solos como hace algunos años atrás.

How was it supposed we were going to spend the whole day together and that's why we decided to make a Venezuelan Chinese rice with chicken, pork, sausages, especially thinking about the children because we are no longer just ourselves like a few years ago.

Les cuento que terminó cocinando el único hombre del grupo, ya que es cocinero profesional ahorita que tal? Vieron que fuera del país se logran grandes cosas jajajajaja porque cuando estaba aquí no sabía ni freír un huevo.

I'll tell you that the only man in the group ended up cooking, since he's a professional chef right now, what's up? They saw that great things are achieved outside the country hahahahaha because when I was here I didn't even know how to fry an egg.

Lo que si puedo decir es que quedó muy rico el arroz, en realidad el hombre sabe cocinar jajajaja, imagínense eso, entre tantas mujeres y él era el cocinero, estaba indignado, pero le tocó.

What I can say is that the rice was very tasty, actually the man knows how to cook hahahaha, imagine that, among so many women and he was the cook, he was outraged, but it was his turn.

Otra cosa que decidimos hacer para los niños fue un rico pastel de chocolate el cual quedó como lo ven en la foto, super exquisito, tan es así que mi hormiguita menor no dejaba de probarlo.

Another thing that we decided to do for the children was a rich chocolate cake which was as you can see in the photo, super exquisite, so much so that my little ant couldn't stop trying it.

Fue una reunión muy hermosa en la que compartimos anécdotas de aquellos tiempos de estudio y también nuevas de nuestras vidas de padres y adultos, conocimos a los hijos de cada quien y pudimos presentarlos entre ellos para que interactuaran y quién quita que se suscite una hermosa amistad entre ellos como la que tenemos sus padres.

It was a very beautiful meeting in which we shared anecdotes from those study days and also new ones from our lives as parents and adults, we met each other's children and we were able to introduce them to each other so that they could interact and who knows how to create a beautiful friendship between them as we have their parents.

Hay 2 más aparte de mi que tienen niñas pequeñas y a esas fue un poco más difícil entretenerlos y mantenerlas ocupadas, por eso tuvimos que recurrir a nuestro gran amigo el internet, cómo dijera un gran amigo mío, un mal necesario y tiene toda la razón.

There are 2 more besides me who have little girls and it was a little more difficult to entertain them and keep them busy, so we had to turn to our great friend the internet, as a great friend of mine said, a necessary evil and he is absolutely right.

Me siento muy feliz y complacida de haber podido reunirme con estos grandes amigos luego de tantos tiempo de distancia, y claro, no podía faltar que surgieran nuevos planes para continuar frecuentando y que no transcurran 10 años más y nos veamos cuando ya estemos viejitos.

I feel very happy and pleased to have been able to reunite with these great friends after so many years away, and of course, new plans could not be missed to continue visiting them and that 10 more years do not pass and we see each other when we are old.

Para mí no hay nada más importante que amor familiar y el de amigos y estoy agradecida con Dios por haber puesto en mi camino a estas grandiosas personas que se han vuelto como hermanos para mí.

For me there is nothing more important than family love and that of friends and I am grateful to God for having put these great people in my path who have become like brothers to me.
