On the weekend, I bought myself a belated Christmas present.
It was a new macro lens - an SF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 G IF-ED to be precise.
I excitedly attached it to my Nikon D800 and went out into the back garden to take some amazing macro shots.
Man, macro photography is HARD!
Anyway, from all the dud shots I took on my first attempts at macro, I did manage to get a few decent shots of a sweet chilli in my garden despite the windy conditions. So, here's my entry in this week's #foodphotography contest by 
I need to get back out and get a lot more macro practice.
