What is really human, is not animal

Entonces 驴

We are living in excessively confusing times, it is difficult for us to discern between what is right and what is wrong because postmodernism has promoted the idea that everything is relative, and if everything is relative, good and evil do not exist. This question has led me to deep reflections that I would like to share with you today, but I already tell you that evil and wickedness do exist, and today they are camouflaged as diversity.

First of all, I have been able to answer this question thanks to my studies in political science, since I started studying I had the feeling that I would discover something disturbing about human reality, and indeed, I did. Look around you, it is clear that there are things that are bad for life, since life always tries to continue with the means at its disposal, what is bad for life is not to exist, it is death, but beyond life, what is bad?

To give an answer to this question I went to my values and questioned them, they are deeply Christian and Catholic values. However, I could not find an answer so easily, so I went further, I read the 10 Hebrew commandments of the Bible and noticed a pattern, the vast majority of these commandments are rules that regulate feelings, such as resentment, hatred, gluttony, among others; these feelings are therefore considered evil. Then I noticed another pattern, animals also have feelings, it is a quality of living beings to feel their environment to react to it. Under this reasoning I deduced that feelings are not properly human, since what differentiates human beings from animals is their capacity to reason.

What is truly human is what is reasonable, but many times we confuse what is human with what is animal, and we completely omit the essential distinction between a human being and an animal: the capacity to think, reason and perceive oneself as someone. The truly human helps us to improve, promotes the integral development of our civilization; on the other hand, the animal makes us irrational, and this leads to our decadence and misery. We have feelings because we are partly animals, but we are not animals, we are humans, and our best version will only develop through reason, not emotion.

It is not that all human beings are evil by nature as Thomas Hobbes said in his work "Leviathan", it is that our nature is partly evil because it is irrational, and it is this animal part that Christian norms try to control or suppress. With this in mind, it becomes clear what is wrong with our contemporary societies, where the question of identity (especially sexual identity) has reached a point where a human being is equated with a dog, an aberration that can lead to our own self-destruction.

Tambi茅n hay sentimientos positivos, as铆 que no se trata de dejar de sentir, se trata de saber discernir cu谩ndo act煤as por emoci贸n y cu谩ndo act煤as por raz贸n.

There are also positive feelings, so it is not about not feeling, it is about knowing how to discern when you act out of emotion and when you act out of reason. My intention with this reflection is to make you question everything you see in social networks with your own criteria, and make you think about these things, because as Hugo Grotius said in his work "De iure belli ac pacis": not even God can make what is bad stop being bad, that is, there are bad things by nature, and we must learn to recognize them. And just in case: I am here just to spread my thoughts.

Ahora dime: 驴crees que hay cosas malas?

Now tell me: do you think there are bad things?
